Lobouspo Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 (edited) I have been wanting to volunteer for sometime, but I work full time and want to make sure that I can follow through on any type of commitment I make. Any suggestions? Any volunteer work you did that was particularly fulfilling? Edited February 11, 2013 by Lobouspo typos
tman666 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 It has been a while since I've volunteered, but I think something where you're interacting directly with the people you're helping can be the most fulfilling. Ideas such as: -serving meals at a homeless shelter -reading to/playing music for people in assisted living/nursing homes -playing with dogs/cats at an animal rescue Picking up trash on a highway, or doing trail maintenance can be fun too, especially if you're working with a fun group of people.
camillalev Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 what are you interested in/passionate about? there are many different kinds of non-profits that serve different purposes. Arts, children, hospitals, animals?
