irc333 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 There's this woman I know in our circle of friends/acquaintances, met her at a couple of events. Recently she went an event and posted a picture of a couple of her guy friends, one I know of pretty well, and I think he has a thing for her, and she captioned it, "my body guards". Are male bodyguards just another "guys I put in the FZ to protect me from men who want to date me?" Kind of a paradoxal situation, I think.

Mr_Flay Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Think nothing of it. Might be an inside joke between them. They probably just "rescued" her from a "dangerous" situation, such as, for instance, a small spider or a particularly vicious Chihuahua puppy, so she jokingly dubbed them her "bodyguard". Why don't you ask your friend about that picture, if you know him that well? 1

Lonely Ronin Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Are male bodyguards just another "guys I put in the FZ to protect me from men who want to date me?" Maybe.... I have a few female friends that like to hang out with me every now and then, when they want to be left alone. lol, I usually even get free drinks out of it.
SJC2008 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Sounds more like a joke to me! That's how I would of taken it.
StanMusial Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 I have seen this before. Basically the token guy(s) hanging around in her orbit. There was this one lady I used to work with that always complained about her love life or lack thereof. I would give this hag about a minute or two of facetime per day just for professional purposes. She used to go out to bars with her guy friends and I think some of them were gay. Anyway she once asked me, "Why do guys not come talk to me if I'm with guy friends? Why do cute guys just assume I'm together with one of them?" I kind of looked at her and said "well if you saw me at a bar with a girl would you assume we were together?" And she said "yes" LOL. Duh. I think some girls just don't have a lot of friends. The best they can do is round up some orbiters and dangle a piece in front of them to keep them in orbit. Be sure to avoid these ones at all cost.
