candie13 Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 why don't you wait to see how he reacts? you might be surprised. my date told me he's shuttered today, so we'll most likely hang out tomorrow. Even if it's not a St.V. celebration per se, I still think it's cute - also, my guy is so airheaded, there actually is a good chance he might not know tomorrow it's St.V. Absolutely no pressure in Switzerland with this celebration - unlike Italy - Milan is full of little hearts and stuffed animals and red decoration. Cute and corny - I'm going to eat by myself all the chocolate I bought there, I bet, hehe!
youaremysunshine Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Do you think I should give him the card? A girl friend of mine invited me to her get together tonight so it looks like we are hanging on Thursday. I hope this isn't stressing him as much as it is me. He's very introverted and has never had a girlfriend
candie13 Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 listen, it's not the gift in itself, it how you do it. If you're relaxed and comfortable, I'm sure he'll get relaxed and comfortable too. In the end, while I understand your stress about the card, you can make back up plan: a really small pouch with his favorite candies. see how he reacts on the VDay and then, you can make joke and offer him your small attention... which both of you can enjoy - that's the good part. what's most important here is not him, is you. You need to understand what you fear most: do you fear that he might get scared because of the pressure or do you fear he might think this is too much (that he might read too much into it)? gifts are about the giver, not about the receiver... what I think it's irrelevant, here .
TheGuard13 Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 I just got talked into buying a four foot tall stuffed Snoopy for my girlfriend, who I may well be breaking up with after Valentine's Day. I'm pretty sure the real Snoopy's not even this big. Oh well. Go big or go home. 1
candie13 Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 exactly !!! why r u doin' both, any self-loathin' or smth?
iris219 Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 I'm gearing up for the best Valentine's Day ever! Hopefully, the first of many more together... 2
mortensorchid Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 I wrote a blog about Valentine's Day. All can read if they would like. I hope I don't sound too bitter or rambled on a bit, but I had a lot to say about it this year for some reason. 2ndclepunkbuddha
Mrlonelyone Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 You really thought of every way that V day can be a bad thing.
pbjbear Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 My dog is my Valentine because he gives me unconditional love To answer your question: work, gym, baking. Valentines Day is way overhyped IMO 1
CptObvious Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 I don't get why girls get all bent out of shape for Valentine's Day. I had 3 female friends message me today freaking out. Just calm down and you'll meet someone. lol weak. And no, they won't meet someone. The guys they want are either catering to some other bimbo OR they're just chillin at home after a good fap. ~352 days out of the year are good days to be in a relationship. Today is not one of them.
DazedConfusedEtc Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 We're going to a nice restaurant for dinner, pretty standard stuff. I live in a country where V Day isn't celebrated very much, but i'm still excited about it, not because the holiday matters to me but because I have an awesome bf and it's an opportunity to celebrate that. His day is starting out pretty ****ty -- he's in court now because of ongoing issues with his ex wife that have dragged out since his divorce 8 years ago. I really want to make sure his night is awesome. I bought him a watch, I don't think he's expecting a big gift but he's needed one for a while and so I bought him a really cool one. I really hope he likes it. Ugh im so gross and cheesy and gushy.
sillyanswer Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Worst places to meet a date: the valentines card section of the greeting card shop on valentines day but having said that, there was plenty of eye-candy in there!
