Yes. There will be dinner, and cocktails on a rooftop bar overlooking the city (if we can get in... I expect the bar may be busy) then back to her place.

Valentines Day is just a way for Hallmark, and restaurants to fill their pocket books. I'll be seeing John McClane blowing up Russian Bad Guys that day.

I avoid valentines day like the plague.

I think I have a FWB sexing the day BEFORE, but that's about it.

I wonder if she scheduled something for Wednesday because she was implying something... We'll see...

Nothing here. I came so close to having a girlfriend on Valentines Day this year but somehow I have managed to not have a girlfriend on valentines day. But then again I only had 1 date in the past 6 years and I can count the number of girls I've gone out with on one hand. Mind you that date happened a couple of weeks ago but not much came of it. And my longest relationship was only 6 months so I don't know.

All my friends and female acquaintances now think I'm a robot because I didn't once even considered shedding a tear.

I went to see it with a bunch of people, my big/bearded/manly buddy was in full blown weep mode once "I Dreamed a Dream" came on.

I'm working that day. Valentines day is a very Hallmark and commercial holiday but there is something romantic about it being able to be celebrated with someone you love. Maybe next year. :)

Valentines day is in a few days and i'd like some ideas/help/suggestions on what to do for my SO. We've been dating for just about a year, shes in highschool and im at the local community college at the moment and im not really sure what to do. I mean, my birthday is on valentines day so we are already going out to dinner but with my family too. Im drawing a blank on what I can do too or just leave it v-day alone and not really bother to much about doing something

With my (so far) casual girl.

Getting her a stuffed cat toy (she loves cats).

+ an origami with written something nice inside.

Then putting numbers on 10 nice songs I like (before hand) and tell her to pick one. After she does, put it in her phone and tell her to listen to it when she's alone in bed that night, with headphones and eyes closed.

And that will be our song :p.

Lastly I m buying this scented candle that melts into massaging oil and give her a nice massage and obviously some amazing sex.

Overly cheesy?

I can't really rate the idea since I don't know your girlfriend, but maybe you should reconsider the "your song" idea. It's not something you can just pick, the song has to have a special context, so this is better left to chance. Otherwise it might turn out that it's just your song, not hers.

Im leaving it to chance. Im picking 10. I could ask her to provide half of them. And then SHE PICKS the number. So it's kind of both our song + it's up to fate and it'll be our cheesy song.

Either way she ll think of me whenever she hears that song again.

a bit much, if you ask me. I'd stick to the stuffed cat and chocolate... the origami is lovely, but yeah, maybe too soon. And the songs idea, the "our song" might freak her out! Do that on your three months anniversary, if it lasts that long.

You seem to be hooked on her, please don't get your hopes up too high... I mean, def enjoy the ride, but... yeah, just watch out for yourself :D !

best of luck in the world for St.V!

I like that your ideas are different. It shows that you actually took the time to make her feel special and not just do the typical V day date.

Personally i don't think It's too cheesy. Then again i love cheese :p

I wont tell her "our song". I ll just tell her to pick a ****ing song and go listen to it in some kind of hypnotic state. Then it will eventually become a song that links her to me. So whenever it comes on the radio boom her head explodes with images of my naked body

And the origami is an inside "joke". I might skip it this time though.

EDIT: Oh and neither of us like chocolate so no choco

Last year: A bouquet of roses on the day after Valentine. Yes, we don't give a **** about Valentine's day.

This year: Tickets for Mark Knopfler. Although I couldn't resist and already gave them on our anniversary.

Probably smoke pot on the menu now.
