I got a text this afternoon from a girl that asked......"What are you up to?"

 

 

We were supposed to go out last night but we cancelled due to the expected snowstorm. So it sounded like she was hinting at us going out tonight but wanted to be cool about it

I think that she was wondering what you were doing.

 

Possibly to see if you are free and no, she's not being especially "cool" about it.

I asked the question because it was a saturday afternoon. if she had asked that on a sunday afternoon I would have thought nothing of it

Why didn't you tell her that you had plans, but your friends had cancelled, and now you were bored with nothing to do? Maybe she would have been encouraged to ask you out or something.

Are you afraid a date might cost you time, effort and money?

YES.. she wanted to see you. There is no other reason she would contact you.. unless she is an attention wh0re. You have to make that call based on what you know about her personality.

 

There are only THREE reasons women initiate contact with men:

 

1. Face time

2. Attention seeking

3. Its her job

 

That's it.

It's just a conversation starter. Talk to her if you want... you don't even have to answer the question.

Oh this is classic double-talk, PhillyDude....

It means,

 

"I went out today, and bought an off-the-peg wedding dress, and my sister has agreed to be the bridesmaid. Please contact a buddy of yours, and ask him to be best man, because if we meet at the local bar, we can have a quick drink and then drive to Las Vegas, where I have booked a chapel, and a preacher. it's all arranged, so I will see you in about an hour, then we can start our family together and have three kids, a Lab puppy and a three bed- house in Jefferson Heights Charlottesville....

 

I'm surprised you didn't get that, you text-fiend, you.... It's so fekkin' obvious!! D'UH!!

Honestly, how can someone with so much contact with so many women be so bad at communicating with them.

 

I'm lucky to have a woman text me on a Saturday night once a month to ask me what i'm doing.

 

and when I say lucky I mean the month before & most certainly after I will not receive a text.

 

Yet, when I do get such a text i'm usually with my kids or already have plans.

But, I manage to either include that woman in my plans or make solid plans with her at a future date.

 

It really isn't all that hard.

The money factor, I;m going out this evening with my family and I need to see what my numbers are looking like so I can set something up for next weekend.

I know.... Sundays, everyone lies on the couch, drinking Soda, eating weenies and salt popcorn, watching 'the game' while outside it's perpetually 4 o'clock (no matter what time it is) raining, grey and cold....
