I know I'm going to play it by ear when the time comes.

It's just that, so far this sort of thing has never worked out for me ever. Going right back to grade school. When the teacher had everyone make little construction paper valentines...I never got one and when I gave one it was like Eweeww icky. :o

that's the thing about school, its not really real life, love isnt ewww, frustrating as crap but never ewwww, showing someone you care about them, is a wonderful thing so when you can show them, you should......good luck ...hope she loves it....deb

I know that sounds odd, but strangely I do seem always charged, like the alarm clock example my digital alarm was ringing so I reach over to turn it off and upon touching it, it started going haywire and a few seconds later it stopped working completely, I had to toss it, it never turned on again.

You probably should go out during a powerfull storm, but get someone to go with you, dressed in plastic and with a good camera.

I thought a bit about what you asked, about her friends. I don't ask because, while I know how important friends are to a young woman, I really don't care. My attitude towards the situation is this. I would really like to be cordial with her friends, and freinds with her friends, but ultimately this isn't about our friends. This is about us, and if things go really well our families.

I hope they take it as at least a nice gesture. This is coming from someone who has had to deal with homophobic responses from both sexes of people, and biphobic or transphobic responses from gay or lesbian people. A "why would you think I was into that sort of response".
