barbossa Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Both men and women say they hate games yet people still play games with each other? where is the disconnect? What games do you hate the most?
normal person Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 (edited) It seems that way if you make blanket statements about 6 billion+ people. There are lot of shades of grey here, some people hate games and other play them for different reasons, they could recreational or pragmatic. I feel like these days, the big game amongst a lot of young people who aren't yet a couple is a contest to see who cares less about the other person. It's a way of establishing who's got more control in the situation and extracting the most you can while conceding the least. A functional ego boost. "If he really likes me, he can drive over here. No way I'm meeting him downtown." "No way would I text her first. If she wants to hang out, she'll crack eventually." Getting a text and waiting 3 hours before responding to try and show the person you're so busy and that their message is almost an intrusion into your life, all this crap, etc. If you seem at all desperate, your value goes down. "Playing hard to get" is a game too, I suppose. I guess it can be fun for people to make others chase them and make themselves feel desired or not so "easy." Also a chase might be kind of a turn on. I'm used to games being part of the dating landscape, it's just how people act these days and I don't see much sense in complaining about it even if it's annoying sometimes. I personally like honest, straightforward people, but what're you gonna do? They're a rarity. Edited February 9, 2013 by normal person 1
ltjg45 Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I don't play games. I tell you what I want. You tell me what you want. We will both decide if we can make a relationship work or be on our separate ways. Simple. Basic. To the point. Little time wasted. Don't play games with me. I won't even understand them.
MrCastle Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 It's all about the game, and how you play it. It's all about control and if ya can take it. All about your debt and if you can pay it. It's all about pain and who's gonna make it.
