I don't know a woman that does not have prerequisites...even you dating the short guy required that he had to be pretty darn good looking. Anyway, refreshing to hear that there are some who are a little more open to possible love. Thanks soccerrprp. That's very sweet of you to say. I think I am fairly representative though. The main stumbling block with the guy I mentioned was that he seemed obnoxious on first encounter. It's not that his looks made up for it. It was that in getting to speak and interact with him, it seemed my initial impression was incorrect. So I gave him a chance when he asked me out. In dating him, I discovered that he had almost all the qualities I look for in a partner. That being said, I do need to be somewhat attracted to my partner. If he were truly ugly and physically unappealing to me, it wouldn't work. I have to be eager to kiss him and want other physical contact.

Also I never said my type was tall skinny and handsome. I said tall and skinny, such as ed byrne etc and that was my type but I'm willing to change that and I am very happy. 2

That's your type because that's the kind of guy who did it for you up to this point. If this guy manages to make you weak in the knees, you may find you have a new "type" Glad you went, and it went well!

I've never had a "type", and I think one of the reasons I'm having so much fun with dating lately is that I'm open to dating a wide range of types. I've always loved meeting people very different from me. That's when I learn the most. So glad you had a great date! 1

Glad you took a chance and had a great time. Most people think they have a type. Many don't, but they limit themselves unnecessarily with the misconception. I hope it builds into something special.
