Boyfriend's Best Friend Doesn't Like Me

Hi all,

 

I am very sad about my boyfriend's best friend, who I really reached out to and thought of as my friend. I saw a text in my boyfriend's phone that he'd sent that said I was a bitch and maybe he should change it up and become a manwhore, just because my boyfriend suspected I was ignoring his calls. This seemed really extreme and I felt so undeserving. I am really hurt by it because I really made an effort to reach out to him and did many acts of kindness, like allowing him to come along during date nights (I thought we always had a good laugh), making him his favorite cake on his birthday, making sure my boyfriend was being a good friend, letting them have a lot of guys night out, etc. I do not fancy him, I just enjoy caring for people that are close to me, it makes me feel good! I don't understand. Luckily he moved away right before this happened, but they are pretty close and I just don't know what to think. My boyfriend doesn't know I saw the text, so I'm not sure if it is really worth breaking his trust for, or if I should just let it go considering he is gone now. It was the only time I have done anything like that, and I suppose I never should have. Please help!

You should tell your BF about this and sees how reacts. Hopefully, he will take your side esp. since you (and your BF) has proof.

 

I know this much: If I heard of this, I would have gotten rid of said "friend" pronto.

Sounds like he's just upset and jealous you stole his BFF...wouldn't take it too personal honestly, I know that sounds retarded but judging from what you're saying it doesn't sound like he has any real other justification not to like you...unless he just simply does not like you, but calling you a bitch when you've been kind and open to him being around and hanging out doesn't add up.
