Some people here think that feminisim is the reason that a lot of guys are struggling. I dont know if this is true or not, but alot of people told me that dating was simpler in the old days.
Feminism ruining dating is nothing but excuses. The only difference is in the old days there weren't too much option for us. Our future was this: Dating, developing a deeper connection, getting married young in our early 20's and become yet another housewife bearing him children.

No way would I want this life. I'm about to turn 26 within a couple months and still not interested in becoming a reproducing machine nor being a maid for 24/7. It was rather a boring life back then.

If that's considered feminism (making your own choices) so be it. I guess I am then.

Under feminism average looking males get discarded by average looking females.

Probably because they don't happen to like said "average looking males." Ever think of that?

Before the reign of feminism ("under feminism" :lmao::laugh::D) were average looking females required to date any male that asked them out?

I don't think so.

And will you kindly explain to me why you persist in referring to men and women as "males" and "females"? I find it profoundly lame.

Everything in life evolves eventually... the feminist movement was needed on some level as much as the abolishment of slavery.

HOWEVER... in many ways it (feminist movement) has also backfired. We now have men completely confused about what role they should play in a household, marriage. We end up with more single parents on both ends of the spectrum. Women are raising men? Without a man in their lives. It doesn't work. Those men usually end up sissy-fied, beta men who eventually end up leaving their own children behind. Men raising women, make women, well... more independent (or spoiled rotten gold diggers) It becomes a vicious cycle.

Keeping to topic... it just seems to take longer to find the 'right' mate these days. There are so many choices and values to consider.

These days men can have/carry children... and women don't even need a physical partner to get pregnant.

For those who still believe in the sanctity of marriage only have a 50% chance of making it work.

If antagonism towards feminism is based on the notion that it creates wholly unrealistic and unfair expectations (of men) in women then I can understand that.

However, if it's based on annoyance that women don't have to get married or be dependent on men in order to survive then that's a bit different. It's sad to think that any man would yearn for a society in which a woman who didn't want him and who consistently felt less happy as a result of having him in her life nonetheless had to make a life with him because she had no other option. However, there are men who think like that and there are also women who would long for circumstances to bind unwilling parties to them.

That's not so much a statement about gender, feminism or anything like that as being a statement about a particular type of personality. The codependent who has so little pride that they would actually want another human being to be bound, miserably, to them due to a lack of options. From that personality's perspective, anything that provides prospective dates with options other than them "ruins" dating.

So what. After the abolishment of slavery, the entire economy of half of our country went down the toilet. Many former slaves had no idea how to begin new lives as free people and failed. Former slaves and white people struggled to figure out how to live as equals and the race conflicts persist.

Yet, slavery needed to be abolished.

Just like feminism needed to happen and all of the fallout also needed to happen.

Social change takes a long, long time. Often the full extent of it can't be seen and known until many decades into the future.

That's not true. Same gender role models are important to kids, I believe, but they can be had without the traditional nuclear family model.

Plenty of fine men were raised by single mothers, and I don't think you have any grounds at all for your claim that single fathers raise golddiggers!

Are you aware that in most cultures until very recently, children WERE raised almost exclusively by women?

Because the slave owners didn't know what the hell to do after the slaves were set free? They (slaves) built this country.

***Have you ever been to a McDonalds on Cinco de Mayo? The place falls apart because the workers are on holiday!

Exclusively? How so? Oh, I see where you say "almost exclusively". Point taken.

Bitter men on this site tend to forget, or maybe don't even know, that feminism has different extremities, and they seem to only recognizes the extremist, militant side (just like many of his bitter peers on this site). They're just harping on this ideology and movement because they are so bitter and resentful and I really can't take them all that seriously.

Most people are middle of the road. Men who think women should indeed have the same opportunities and rights as men are considered "feminists." ;)

I think the only thing feminism really ruined is feminism.

And I like feminism.

This why these sorts of arguments are pointless and inevitably degenerate into nastiness.

There is a big gap between "equal pay for equal work" feminism and "all sex is rape" feminism.

I don't think feminism in and of itself is a bad thing. I just think that some misandrists use to take our their own issues with men and it causes some guys to just dismiss the entire thing. It's why you have people who fully support equality for men and women while also dissing feminism.

They also seem to be under the delusion that the women who have to marry them would be the beautiful, desirable women they pine for. The reality is the women who would have to marry them are the exact same women they could date right now, if they had realistic expectations.

I don't think so.

This reminded me of the play/movie "Marty".

Anyone who hasn't watched it should do so immediately.

Feminism started when Eve bit the apple, choosing to disobey God and not waiting for the direction of her husband. It's one of the oldest forms of deception. I laugh when people act like it started in the 1960s.

Actually, feminism started when the Egyptian sky goddess Nut began swallowing the sun god Ra at the end of each day, effectively "emasculating" him. Of course, she gives birth to him again the following morning, just to show him who's boss.

I know you said this in jest, but not all of what you say is fictitious. There are real pagan gods. They aren't just myths. They are fallen angels who tricked humans into worshipping them as gods. The Bible even makes reference to this. (Though I'm not sure about the specific pagan god you mentioned.)

I'm pretty sure all of what I said is fictitious.

Rock on, Nut! Not many women can give oral, for 12 hours straight.
