Ale khun Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Hi it's been like 3 weeks now since the recent break up and honestly I feel like sh** I can't sleep I can work properly I think I have a little depression and between the klonopin and cigarets i try to manage my days I don't know what to do its been really hard to get back in track I don't know if call him try one more time to fix things or just move on . But how ?? I know the solution it's to move on but seriously I don't want to sound childish but its been so long that I'm not in this situation that its hard to know where begin any advise please !!
Drseussgrrl Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 There is a break up section to this forum. But my strongest advice is to take care of yourself. Prescription drugs and cigs are just poisoning your body further and are exacerbating your depression. You need to be eating right and exercising, even if you have to force yourself. Eventually your mind will catch up with all of those endorphins flowing. And no - don't call him.
Negative Nancy Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 The best way to get over someone is to find someone else.
pbjbear Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Try to lay off the prescription drugs. You are masking the problem with those Spend time with other people in your life that care about you (family and friends). Start doing new hobbies. I had a friend that did marathon days of TV shows and movies, forced herself to exercise an hour a day (even if its just a walk), read another hour a day, hid her phone away so she wouldnt call him. Ive done similar things when I have felt depression for reasons other than a breakup. Force yourself to stay busy and distracted. Force yourself to eat. Part of depression is feeling lethargic, not eating will fuel this feeling. This is all easier said than done, the worst part is motivating yourself to do it. Dont call him...when you dont get the response you want you will feel 10x worse 1
