SpiralOut Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I'm just asking because I have had very outgoing men show interest in me, in the past, and even though I really liked them back I turned them down because I am both shy and introverted. I worried that I wasn't good enough for them. They were the type who had lots of friends, would go out drinking and go to parties every weekend. I felt very intimidated by that as I worried that my shyness/social phobia would cramp their style, that their friends wouldn't like me, or that he would get upset at me for not wanting to go to parties with him. Is it possible for an outgoing guy to be okay with having a shy, introverted girlfriend?
soccerrprp Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Hey, spiralout, yes, it is possible. I dated a lady who was very introverted and preferred being home or in smaller, social settings. I am pretty outgoing. I don't know how old you are, but if the guys you're dating like to party every weekend, drinking, then I'm not certain if that's too much to do with you being introverted. I don't like to do those things and, like I said, I'm pretty outgoing. Outing going guys or no, like someone they can relate to and be comfortable with. If you are with your SO and can do that, you should be fine. Don't let guys push you into becoming a party animal. Good luck and keep looking...
