We live 4,700 miles away from each other and we're extremely keen to meet. The problem is that I'm a student so I'm busy quite often and we're both not rolling in money. Has anyone any idea of how we can meet each other quicker or any way it can be easier on us both?

So, the next best thing would be to fly at a time when fares are lower (not summer or around the holidays)to get tickets with multiple connections (cheaper)not purchase them more than four monthsand to split the cost--for birthdays and holidays, ask for cash instead of presents! Staying at each other's homes would cut costs greatly. Would it be possible for him to stay with you or couch surf?
