How big of an OLD (Match) faux pas was this?

I am on Match, and I sent a girl an email about 5 days ago. She never got back to me. I checked her profile (on my mobile phone--crucial detail) and saw that was because she wasn't online basically since I sent her the email. But then I inadvertently hit the wrong button on my mobile and sent her a wink!

(I never send winks. Winks are weak. I had planned on trying her again with a second email because I really like her profile. I am hoping that I didn't torpedo any chance of the second email working...)

Not a big deal since it was 5 days ago but I definately wouldn't send a second email. Most people who do OLD are fairly active so she's probably getting tired of it or is one of the few that doesn't log on too often.

Speaking of fauxs, a couple years ago I went on a date with a customer I asked out. When I called her she didn't answer and I pocket dialed her a few mins later:(! How embarrassing... I didn't get a second date but don't think it was because of that.

I actually have decent luck emailing women a second time. I am wondering if by winking I screwed that up.

Match makes it way too easy to do something stupid like that. Just a finger slip on my android... Having to press a confirmation button would be a huge help.

Yep, I actually dig guys trying the second time. If I am on a fence or just not takim him seriously, by e-mailing second time he is showing that he is really interested. That's a big plus.

Good. I just emailed her right now (as it appears she is back online). I hope she doesn't "hold the wink against me".

I emailed her 5 (actually 6) days ago, checked her profile a couple of hours ago (which was when I inadvertently winked), and I just emailed her. I hope this is cool. [i didn't bring up the wink in my email that I sent today, that would have sounded like explaining myself too much.]

You're fine. It happens.:)

The second email is a great idea. I sometimes changed my mind as a result of those.

Hope it works out!

Yeah but two emails and a win? I don't know about that one... Good luck though!

Really? I figured most girls wouldn't like that. If you were on the fence, why not message him back and see how that goes?
