Hello all, just wanted to get more opinions on this girl in my college and will try to keep as short as possible. This is my first year of college and she is a PSEO student from high school. We first met during my first week of my chemistry class. We had to pick lab partners and I did not know anyone (nor did she) because all my friends were in another class. She ended up picking me to be her partner. I said yes and ever since then we sit by each other in class and talk everyday. We always walk to our cars after class and she always offers me rides to my car far away. She can get flirty (jokes around, eye contact, smiles, waits for me after class) and noticed she started to dress nicer (gum, perfume, hair, clothes, etc). Recently she said small little comments of her boyfriend but then right after we stopped talking about him. I consider myself a good looking guy and talented but I am not quite sure what her intentions are. I think she is cute, pretty, smart, and an awesome personality. I do not want to get in the way of her boyfriend and only want the best for them (if he treats her right) but she never mentions how they are, etc.

Is she flirting to further a relationship with me and later on discard her boyfriend? Does she just seek attention from another man? Just want to be friends? This is what I cant seem to understand everyday and it is quite confusing/ frustrating. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks! =)

My guess is she mentioned having a bf to give you the hint that it isn't wise to ask her out. It sounds like she's just being friendly (which sometimes can be flirty), which is smart since you guys are lab partners and will possibly have other classes together. She probably doesn't talk about her bf all of the time, because that kind of thing is really annoying. Honestly do you want to hear endless chatter about the lucky guy that's with her? Of course not. I think you should just keep things the way they are and should she become single in the future make a move then.

Look at it this way, buddy: If she's just being friendly and is faithful to her boyfriend, then she's all good and you shouldn't pursue her. If she's trying to ditch her boyfriend, she's flaky and unfaithful and you shouldn't pursue her. Your course of action should not change. Look elsewhere, my friend.

What Ms. Smurf said is possible but that interpretaion would be more valid for a woman over 25 30 years old. Someone who's seriously thinking their BF is someone they want to marry and such.

This is a high school girl talking about a high school boyfriend not a fiancee or husband.

Yes it is possible that a highschool girl seeing a college man is looking to trade up.

Yes it is possible that she is looking to fool around a little bit with you.

Yes it is possible there is something there more than friendly. You know better than us.

My advice: Believe her body language, and her actions in your presence. Be in the moment. Accept what looks and feels like flirting as being flirting and enjoy the flirting. Take the flirting as far as you want it to go.

I once started a on and off 6 year long relationship with a lady lab partner who if I asked her out would say no...as she sat in my lap. Always belive their actions not their words.

Yeah you should go ahead and tap that. Here's a little story for you:

I had a girl who was my partner on several projects over three semesters in college. She was kinda cute, but she was engaged and I never even considered anything with her. Well, a year after graduation she calls me out of the blue. She had moved across the country and had been married for a year. She just came out and said that she wanted to jump my bones the whole time and that if I had made a move she would've been all over it.
