I broke it off with my guy of 3 months because we were in two different places.

Our convo in a nutshell:

Me: Alright, let's just be friends.

Him: Okay but please don't ignore my phone calls and text messages from now on, I care about you and don't want you to disappear from my life.

I know it's a silly question, but does this mean he possibly wants to get back together in the future?

I would say so, yes. It sounds like he wanted more and you pulled the fade by ignoring his effort at communication, correct? Or is there something more to being in two different places than you are letting on.

Well, we were in contact almost everyday, but we didn't see eachother enough and I was getting tired of that. So I told him that and he tells me how he has a tendency to put his relationships last since he works all the time and doesn't want to keep disappointing me. That's when I said "Alright, lets just be friends"...etc.

He didn't really do anything to prevent the breakup, did he?

IF you ever got back together, it would be more of the same behavior given his response. You weren't a priority. Decide whether that is acceptable to you. If not, move on instead of sitting in limbo and putting your dating life on hold. He may be a great guy. Doesn't necessarily make you right for each other.

Red flag right there.

Nothing should stop anyone when it comes to a relationship worth keeping.

I would just remain friends.
