Does she like me, and how should I make a move?

I am a Senior male in High School. There is a girl in my Physics class that I thought was beautiful from the first time I saw her on the first day of school. She is a Junior. I always kind of liked her, but I never really thought I would do anything.

The only reason I would think of making a move is because I think she may have showed an interest in me, but I'm not sure. A few weeks ago I thought I noticed her making eye contact with me in the halls, but I wasn't sure. Then two weeks ago my friend confirmed that as I passed her at her locker she looked at me before I passed, and then watched me after I passed. I have since noticed that we have made eye contact a few times. Also, in class the teacher asked for volunteers to go up to the board, and nobody volunteered. I then decided to, and not long after I did, she decided to come up to the board as well. Now she has done that before without me, so it's not that much of a sign, but I figured I'd mention it.

Ok, last week our teacher gave out a group assignment, and my group was next to hers. I overheard her talking with her friend about something that I know a lot about. She said something that I knew was correct, but her friend disagreed with her. I then stepped in to the conversation and corrected her friend. Her friend then asked me another question about it and I answered it. The whole time, the girl I think likes me did not say anything, but she did not break eye contact with me, even when I did.

Also, a few days ago our teacher had an extra help session for the class. I decided to go, and she was there... But she was the only one there, it was just me and her! I used this as an opportunity to talk to her. I just talked about the class, and how the current unit was difficult. She contributed to the conversation, but not as much as I did. I know that she is very talkative with her friends. Now she did seem a little nervous when talking, and she actually stuttered a little bit which I have never heard her do when talking to anyone else. When the extra help ended, I said "see you later", and she said "bye," but the way she said it was pretty emotionless.

Now, I do really want to approach her more directly, but I'm not the most confident, and every time I think a girl likes me, I always think to myself "Why would she like me?" Anyway, what is your opinion on how she feels about me, and what do you think I should do?

I can't read minds obviously and neither can you. That's just part of being human.

I think she might be interested you (again it's impossible to tell for sure) but you can find out. Show your interest in her, talk to her or get to know her, ask her out.

Do something before it's too late...

and yes, the onus is on you sadly society makes men the ones who have to do the heavy lifting in this department

From a girl's perspective, she is intrested in you!

Take the initiative and ask her out!

She might a bit shy around you though
