candie13 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I spent a couple hours this morning helping a child construct a mailbox for valentines, and fill out valentines for 2 dozen classmates. That's plenty for me. OMG, how many kids do you have... and how many people do they like ? you're my hero, so far!
candie13 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 four more days until St.V and still no mentioning of it... I am not saying anything, but I start to get slightly ticked off by the current situation. I'm doing my best to focus on my ski weekend with the girls, immediately after that! I wonder if I should buy a small gift, just in case...ppfffff, dating sucks
xxoo Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 OMG, how many kids do you have... and how many people do they like ? you're my hero, so far! Only the elementary aged child does valentines at school, but they must give a valentine to each classmate (not just the ones they like ) 1
candie13 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 to each classmate, wow, great initiative... do they get to choose which valentine card goes to whom or personalize them, or just make more of the same kind? fantastic idea to stimulate their creativity...
candie13 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 you are 100% dead on it! you are right! I know that I am sort of flirting with the idea of St.V (also I don't really give a damn about it)... and because I look at it as some sort of... I don't know, nice thing to celebrate, if you're seeing a guy. I just don't want to look too needy, like those girls who expect dinner, flowers and chocolate... I couldn't care less about "getting" anything, but I would like a sort of acknowledgement from him, that he likes me, he likes seeing me... that we have is pretty little special thing going on. I know we're new to dating each other, but we're having a great time together, we're exclusive and stuff, so all in all, I am not looking for a FWB. So why waste my time with dating a guy, and investing so much effort in this, if I'm spending St.V by myself? my expectations apart... I just think it's not cool (hence the "ticked off" part)... he'd be a bit of a jerk if he didn't say or do anything, really... yeah, thread hijacking, sorry, guys, Happy St.V !
candie13 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 without making it too dramatic, I'd feel like I'm good enough to f*ck, but not good enough to be his Valentine. Not good enough for me, either, then! *start dusting off the porn, finding the Bridget Jones's film and preparing to download Two Men and a Half, and the Big Bang Theory... hell, maybe even New Girl, now that I'm at it!*
Troublesome Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Sex is given. On any day. He always expresses me dressing up in something raunchy. Maybe I'll do that. For the most part he is not a romantic, so I think some supper, sex and then a forced sit down to romantic comedies which we both are not fond of ( but we're such commentators when watching movies) will be something fun for us. In no particular order or singular occurance of course.
TheGuard13 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 I posted this elsewhere, didn't realize this thread was here. I'm thinking about breaking up with my girlfriend, but it'd be cruel to do it this close to Valentine's Day. So I'm kind of going all out. Roses, chocolates, jewelry, a DVD of her favorite TV show, a stuffed animal for her collection, and then I'm going to make her a nice romantic dinner with wine and whatnot. She'll probably get a massage later on. I don't expect any sex, hence me probably breaking up with her soon, but it can be a nice night anyway. It feels wrong to put less effort into it just because this might be our last one.
candie13 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 that's sad... but good for you for not ruining St.V for her
Luckydad Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 out of pure curiosity, a question for the guys: do you expect your gf to offer you a gift for St Valentine's? Such as what - sexual treats out, I can figure this much out, thanks ! 2 answers here. First one is for OP: Nothing out of the ordinary. second answer to Candie: I have never received a gift on Valentine's day, sexual or otherwise, so not expecting anything again!
Janesays Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Mine is going to be super lame. My fiance is going to be in Columbia for the next couple of weeks for work. Initially, I was going to go with him, but it's our busy time at my job and I just couldn't get the time off. (Especially considering I have 4 other vacations planned for this year already ) So, in a nutshell, I'm not doing a darn thing. We'll probably make out a lot when he comes home though! 1
HKcolon Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I have two dates for Valentines Day this year. The first guys name is "Ben", and the second guys name is "Jerry". 2
