And get pretty red heart boxes full of candies.

And get pretty red heart boxes full of candies. so is that what your so makes you do get dressed up in red...have you ever wondered why hearts are depicted as being red........ th eheart isnt red on the inside as blood isnt red on the inside.....a purply blue is more appropriate...i would just say blue..there shoudl be more blue hearts in the world..when you give your heart to someone......you do so from the inside......and if your heart is red, it prbably means that you are dying because it would have been exposed to oxygen....so my conclusion is....... blue heart is a heart given that is alive........ so maybe you should dress in blue instead of red....or you so should dress in blue...blue is much more alive than red....hallmark subliminally make you think red is hot.....calling your so a slut is not attractive by the way.....blue eyes......deb

I don't even have an SO...... I love the blue heart explanation though... Not only does it make sense, it is different and I like to be different.
Sarabi Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Spending time together at home? Going out? Not doing anything because you think it's a big farce? Share! Working... 4-11. I don't know if its a big farce...maybe. A "celebration" invented by who...Hallmark(?), to flog overinflated pieces of paper(i.e. valentine cards) and other general cheap tat at the expense of those who are not married or in a relationship of some kind. Yeah I work for a supermarket and it has its fair share of cheap tat and valentines "meal deals" to flog too... ...I just wait until the day/week after when all the chocolates/"gifts" and cards suddenly drop to 20p/30p/50p 1

Author Els Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 I don't "celebrate" the "holiday" per se but, I do enjoy the nice treats & attractive flowers that are at stores. Since I have not had a Valentine since 2004, every year since then, I've bought myself one of these nice things. I don't care how corny or sad it sounds or looks. Things are cute and if I like something & can afford it, I am doing it. Hon, you spoil yourself all you like, and to hell with the haters. Everyone should take some time off once in a while to pamper themselves. And if VDay motivates you to do it, that's great! I have to admit, I don't know much about music. Is that just recording yourself masturbating? OMG that cracked me up!!! :lmao::lmao: when you are in love everyday is valentines day and every day doesnt need hall mark to dictate what day you should show it an d how much the price tag is going to set you back.....same with mothers day, fathers day....celebrate the ones you love every day of the year with random abandon.....deb Totally agree, deb. But special days can be a nice reminder, y'know? You don't need to wait til your partner's birthday to spoil them a little, but it's still nice to have a special occasion to spoil them. 2
Author Els Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 Aww, the bf came back today and asked if I'd like to go to the fine dining place that we'd talked about ages ago. I asked about his financial concerns, and he shrugged and said, "It's once a year." He has left it up to me to choose any place I want, though, so I'll be nice and choose a mid-tier place instead. I'm just really happy that he thought of it, and that we're going out. ...But now I have no new lingerie to wear!!! 3
Feelin Frisky Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Russel Stover for one. Love Shack. Maybe jerk off.
Phoe Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 I'll be working a long shift at work, thank god... hopefully that will distract me from feeling miserable. I typically can handle being single just fine most of the year, but when Vday comes around it's like a punch in the gut. Always single and alone on this day -.- Even just thinking about it now is putting knots in my stomach. Today one of my coworkers came to me to tell me about what he's doing for his girlfriend for vday, her birthday, and their anniversary. He's doing some really sweet and special stuff for her, and of course I smiled and assured him that these were good moves and that she would be thrilled and that I approved, but on the inside I couldn't help but feel sad... I have no one who wants me, no one who loves me or cherishes me enough to put such thought and care into actions like that. *sigh* it's gonna be a bad week... 1
sweetkiwi Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 New plans. My good friend is coming to Italy!!! So I will be joining him in the north and visiting Milan and Venice. Then we can get drunk and complain about happy couples TOGETHER!!!! 3

I bet a lovely bunch of coconuts that "complaining" won't be all you guys will be doing together. 2
Mrlonelyone Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Nothing for V-day itself. I am going to give a very understated gift before the day itself though. A book which complies the foundational works of legends in our field. With a note saying what I think of them. No "love" no flowers no candies just ideas.
RachR Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Grumpy Cat - love is in the air get out the gas mask 1
firemanq Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I am scheduled to be on the road, all week, starting tomorrow. So, I am taking Dee with me. She won't get flowers, but she gets me for a week. And we will be at our favorite B & B for one night. Not too romantic, but we will be together, as opposed to not being together. 1
Radu Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I am celebrating something everyday in the family on the 14th of Feb. Other than that i will be busy with other stuff. On the following week-end i can get cheap bonbons from the supermarket. I'll be working a long shift at work, thank god... hopefully that will distract me from feeling miserable. MyPoutine Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Date #2 for me and new guy, nothing crazy just a simple outing.
xxoo Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I spent a couple hours this morning helping a child construct a mailbox for valentines, and fill out valentines for 2 dozen classmates. That's plenty for me. 1
ImperfectionisBeauty Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I have class, then probably come home and watch Netflix and text the guy I'm talking to
