Would you avoid any male/female that has anything to do with trading cards?

Well, of course a dermatologist would be the ideal solution, but plenty of people manage to cure their acne through OTC creams. Worked for mine when I was in college. Good luck. :)

And I know I said this already, but do NOT give up a lifelong hobby for a girl you've just started dating!

I'm not going to give it my hobby so easily. I may stop playing the game but I doubt I stop collecting the cards.

That is simply asking too much of me esp. when this game was the only thing I looked forward to for the past decade.

Still, despite I don't really regret it, I can't help but to feel that time could have been better spent overall.

If you yourself feel like you want to change/cut down on time for YOU, then by all means go ahead.

Just don't do it solely for a woman. The right woman will love you for you.

I won't. I certainly will stand my ground esp. if they go anywhere near my prized personal collection that took me years to build up money to purchase for.

I'm not giving that up for anyone. That is basically my life essence there, as sad as it may be.

Now, that might be a bit problematic. ;)

IMO your main focus now should be on ending the unemployment. Based on your description of your life, it seems to be going on for quite some time now. That is likely to be a much bigger strike against you than the fact that you collect cards - not only in dating, but for your personal wellbeing as well.

There's nothing wrong with playing trading card games. You just need to look for the right kind of woman. ;)

You'll probably have trouble finding someone if you're unemployed, though. You should be trying to fix that instead of worrying about Yugioh.

My boyfriend is teaching me how to play Magic: The Gathering. :)

My bf taught me how to play MTG too, when we first started dating. I'm eternally grateful for that now and am more into it than he is.

I know, I know. I just can't see me giving up the one thing I managed to keep over the last decade and just throw it away. Everything else that I valued during that time period was either sold for emergency cash or stolen.

I'm surprised I still have that small 20-25 card collection.

Still applying to entry-level jobs at fast-food restaurants (such an insult to me) but if it gets me off of my feet, I'll take it for now.

No point complaining about it.

Case-in-point, would you want to be with a person that either plays or collect trading cards?

It wouldn't be a deal-breaker unless it's to an obsessive level.
