Just work out if you want to, train your muscles if you want to. The right guy will love the body you already have. Basically neck down what's best most attractive? In your opinion? That's an impossible question. Everyone is a different shape and proportion.

I'm 41 and have an athletic body type so I guess you could say I'm in great shape for my age. Why is it that men, who probably have never worn a pair of running shoes to actually run, whose waist lines are rounder then they are tall, always think they can hit me up on an OLD site? I understand that men like certain things about women's bodies but we work hard to make ourselves look good. Why do guys find it appropriate to try and pick up an athletic girl when they stopped caring about themselves some time back in the 90's?

If you're not happy with your body, then do some exercise. As far as I can tell, as long as you're toned and of a decent size, there is a high chance a lot of guys will be into you.

However, when I see girls out there that are taller than me and are attractive looking otherwise, it doesn't really occur to me that I am missing out on anything. Plenty of girls shorter than me. In fact, most of them are. Girls 5'8" are pushing 130lbs on up, lot harder to move them around. Sure, I can do it, but I think my left shoulder problem is because of moving more weight than I can handle in positions where its almost all shoulder making the lift. Or possibly every time I am with a short girl, she is always working with me to move around. Which is another point. In my experience, short girls are almost always very energetic in bed. The taller, more gangly body style tall girls are a lot more likely to be passive. Don't get me wrong, taller girls are fun too, but shorter girls are almost always better in bed in my experience.

Most men can't find a cartoon looking woman like that unless they go for vain fake women with plastic all over their bodies. The fact that you are athletic and thin should be enough for you to be considered desirable by a lot of guys.

Maybe take a class at a local gym or join a sports team. You will also meet plenty of men in these environments.

People are more than just checklists when you fall in love IRL! Guys aren't too different, y'know. Just a different set of genitals and some different hormones. We're all people. It's human nature.

Men arent held to the same standard for looks (for most women anyway, I know a few who only date hot guys, but most want a decently attractive guy with other qualities)

Not saying he wouldnt be interested...most men I find have a "trade up mentality" and are never satisfied with what they have. They know what they can attain in a woman so they go for what they can attain. Im not saying these married men are neccessarily unhappy with their more average looking wives, but the second a hotter one shows serious interest in them their wife goes to the wayside in their thoughts. I really do think if all men could be players banging several hot chicks the vast majority would. Youd be surprised if you really talked in depth with married men where they had anonymity that most would give up their lifestyle if they had better options. However, few can do this so they take what they can get

Luckily for me, I dont place men valuing me within my self esteem. Most women place too much importance on dating and boys in their life. I havent dated at all in the past 5 months by choice. I have dated a ton in the past few years. I still get asked out but I decided to take a break until I move 6 months from now and Ive been happier since. I have alot of hobbies, a decent career and I am pretty blessed with a big circle of great friends. Spending time on friendships is more worthwhile but thats just my opinion. I am a pretty blatantly honest person so I guess I see why people see me as "bitter" Most people dont want to hear the truth. I dont get called bitter or mean in real life though. Many of the things I post on here, I ask in conversations with male friends of mine and many admit the things I say are true. Most men just dont want to admit it and very few will admit it to their female S.O's. It is depressing but it is what it is.
