Why do men introduce their girlfriend to their guy friends by their name ??

From my perspective, it is implied that you are his girlfriend either way. If it is his friend he likely knows your status with him anyway. Depends on his body language as well. If he has his arm around your shoulder or hip or something and says "this is Mary" then I think that alone is enough information to know that he is your girlfriend. No explanation needed.
