I was out with friends, and one of my female friends brought her female friend. She was new in town by 3 months, and we get to talking for awhile. I was telling her about this side job that I do in free lance writing, and gave her my card.

I got a call from her the next evening asking about my venture, I get to talking to her a bit, telling her about it, and said I'd give her a link, I asked for her Facebook so I could send her the link there, and when I tried to add her, it said her friends list has reached maximum capacity (5,000 friends) and I couldn't add her....so she had to remove one of her friends to get me on. LOL.

Anyhow, it made me think would I just be a number to her....and I'm guessing she only has this many friends due toher line of work and with the networking she does.

Though I tend to wonder why make your personal page your career all on one FB, no idea. But from the looks of her photos, she seems to be a bit more self-promotive....even has modeling photos up for fun, no reason...no product she's advertising.

I asked her about the pics, if she did some modeling, and she said "LOL, now that was just for fun!"

I asked her if she would be available this weekend, and she said she has to work all weekend, then I asked her when she would be available, and she never got back with me on that.

So, the vibe I got there , she is just too popular to date.

If you think you are just a number, you probably are.

This is all the information you need, isn't it? Marketing types date, supermodels date, women who clean bathrooms date. If interested, any one of them will get back to you. If not, they won't.

Have you ever worked all weekend, but wanted to see someone and said, "hey, I have to eat sometime, right?"

Sales people are often sleazy/fake in my perspective. Professional ones anyway, not somebody doing it for an in-between job.

Yep, I would never date a man in this line of work

My wife is in sales. She runs her own business, in fact.

You won't find a more honest, upstanding person. She even charges more than her competition (and they know) but her customers keep coming back for more because she's honest and reliable.

No, the vibe clearly sent is "I'm not interested in dating you."

I wouldn't waste time mulling over her or what she does with her Facebook page. You'll be happier and more content...and frankly closer to meeting someone to date, if you keep looking for others who might be interested in dating you and a better fit instead of complaining constantly about those who aren't.

But, it wouldn't make for very lengthy, interesting threads, would it?

There is a chance that she is actually busy being that she have 5000 FB friends, new to town and doing all these self promotional stuff as you call it. So I would try again to contact her but have a definite plan like actual date(s)/activity and let her decide!
