pom Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 so heres my story: I met this girl in this club, i kind of knew of her, and just went up to her, told her she looked great and chatted to her for a bit, and that was that. Then, a week or so later, i saw her at another club, went up and this time spoke to her for ages, got on really well, really nice girl and that. So, a couple of days later i went up to her flat (live in student accomodation) and just plain asked her out, she seemed quite taken aback, but said yes, and seemed quite happy/excited by it all. So then the next day she came by mine and told me she couldnt go out that night as she was going out to eat with her sister, so i suggested the next night, and she couldnt cos she was going out with her flat mates, basically, this was the last week of university, and she kind of just made excuses that she couldnt go out really that whole week, and so nothing happened. Some people said that she is a llittle shy, and apparently she had only pulled one guy that year, which for a single girl at university who looks as good as she does is a very low amount!!! Question is, think maybe she just said yes because it was such an out of the blue thing and she just didnt want to turn me down? would a girl do that, even if they planned on just postponing until the guy got fed up? Or maybe she is just shy and needs a different approach? I dont find girls that I fancy very often, which is why this has really annoyed me as not only is she amazing looking, but has the best personality I have met, possibly ever (bare in mind I've only spoken to her for a little over half an hour, but still). So i need imput!

Yes. Originally posted by pom would a girl do that, even if they planned on just postponing until the guy got fed up? Yes. Most girls prefer that method. No. For future reference, you probably should have asked her out the first time you saw her at the club, or the second time at the latest. Going to a girl's apartment unannounced rarely works in your favor.
