Earlier this month I signed up for an online dating site and as of last week I had to delete my profile.

 

Here's some of the reasons. While I was on I noticed there was profile of a guy I had hooked up with several years back. Things got out of hand when we got together. So there was no other choice then to leave his ass alone.

The other reasons were that the guys who were online kind of played lurker...they would see me online and view my profile and NEVER say a word OR they would send messages and be creepy as f***. Knowing what I know about online dating, a large percentage of the guys seem to be only out for the panties. (there are keywords these guys would use that would send my radar OFF!!)

 

I guess I'm a little jaded with this dating thing. (Off or Online) Men need to keep it real from jumpstreet. I don't ask for much when seeking a date. So, maybe my expectations are too low or too high? IKD....maybe I should continue to focus on myself? IDK?

 

I'd like some feedback from the men & ladies of LS.

What site were you using?

I did OLD, and I feel like the more serious people (generally, not always) use sites that you have to pay for. I used Match and Eharmony and I didn't get too many....strange things.

I used OLD sites. I didnt like them for different reasons than you stated. I am not a fan of these sites because you cant tell if you have chemistry with someone over the Internet, it takes longer to get to know complete strangers and it takes me longer to trust them and theres always been problems, in my experience, with men not deactivating their account and always still looking around after we have been dating awhile.

 

Thats just my experience though

I say you will get a message if you look 'bangable' to their eyes.

 

In real world, guys wouldn't go for a girl like that since it's too much risk for a small reward.

 

I am sure you've gotten lots of messages compared to the real world.

 

Too bad, you can't filter those.
