ladymowett2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 HI I need advice on how to work on my conversation skills. I'm in a relationship with a man he's 22 I'm 23 and we've been together 8 months. I have a problem when it comes to talking to men I'm romantically involved with. I don't know what to say and I feel like I need help. I have no problem talking to men as friends or girlfriends but when I'm involved with them I can't do it. What is a relationship without talking. Please someone help.
honey2005 Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 When I start a relationship with someone it's usually because it's really easy to talk to them and we get along so well, so I don't have this problem, but I'll try to help. You can always talk about how your days are while you're apart, or find out if you have similar interests and talk about them. You can go out to intresting places and when you get home you'll have something to talk about.
moimeme Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 Ask questions. Ask about his current life or his past (stuff like what did you like best about school). If he's travelled, ask him about his trips. Eventually he'll say something that interests you enough to branch off into a conversation.
