So, I have a date coming up (no lie).

And I thought it would be a good occasion to bring up some ways in which women can show they clearly have no physical attraction or interest in the man, but still enjoy a fun night out talking to a fun and cool guy.

1) When the meeting place has been established, bring one or more co-workers or friends.

2) If going to see a movie, leave a seat in between you and the guy.

3) During the 'date', casually mention how much physical attraction you have to one of his best friends.

4) Continuously say to co-workers and friends on the days leading up to the date, and also during the date that you have no idea that it is a date and you're just 'hanging out with some dude' despite the man initially asking you if you'd like to go on date? "What? This is a date? Who? Wha? How?"

Any others? :p

Why again would a woman accept a date with a gentleman she clearly has no interest in?

Maybe to just get out and enjoy the evening?

I would say it makes more sense to go out with a man she actually has interest in instead.

I'd say if you're a woman and have interest in a man, yet accept his date invitation, you should immediately tell him that you have no intentions in getting with him and that his effort is fruitless. Let him decide if he still wants to take you out.

What is the meaning of life?

If a tree falls in the woods, and nobody hears it, does it make a sound?

Invite him next time to go shoe-shopping with you. :p

BONUS: Say its for a hot date next week and you could use a guy's opinion...

Not only did you misquote it, but it also makes no relevance to my reply.

You can't seriously be this daft, can you?

Sounds pretty selfish to me . I would leave you mid date of I found out what kind of messed up thing you were doing to me. I don't understand how wen can complain about guys being players and then I see a thread like this LOL. You are using this mine like a disposable piece of trash.

Op is THIS close to getting on my ignore list. I think his meds are running low. The last few days he has been increasingly incomprehensible.

Now I think he's just reduced to simple trolling.

Honestly, though. Is there ever a recorded instance of that happening in the annals of modern dating?

You meant to say NO interest I'm pretty sure.

Put me on ignore then.

You DENY that these things happen?

Because they have ALL happened to me.

Girls do it pretty frequently actually. I remember reading an article about it (I think in the Times?) a while back, I think especially as it pertained to online dating. Some woman went on 30-some different dates in a month. Had zero interest in any of the guys, but got wined and dined at the best places in the city. Never pursued any of em. Honestly I feel like if I was a chick I'd be doing the same **** ha

No offense, man.

I like you and I think you're a decent guy, but tone it back on the "you miserable whiny bastards all suck and have no redeeming qualities and that's why you'll never get laid because women can tell you are a miserable bastard from a mile away."

These are all things that have happened to me on prior dates, sometimes before I even got 10 minutes of conversation in. This thread was for fun.

No offense taken.

You should probably be asking yourself to tone it back on the "I'm a miserable whiny bastard who sucks and has no redeeming qualities and that's why I'll never get laid because women can tell I'm a miserable bastard from a mile away" as well.

You do it far better than I ever could.

You seem more content on complaining about your situation than trying to do anything about it. I've started a couple threads that even hit upon people like you (and myself at one point) and you didn't even poke your head into it...instead starting several other threads where you just **** all over yourself.

She can just play raise the ante. If the first date is $75 for a meal, have him take her to some kind of show and a better meal the next time. That's $250. The third date should be a nice activity, maybe a cruise, a generous gift, a meal for $500. On the next date, an out of town trip to Las Vegas that'll set the man back $1500. As long as he wants to play the part of the hunter and sap, she can just enjoy his money and have a nice relaxing time with the eunuch.

I read that article. While I would say most women don't do that, they do like to go out and have a good time with a man they think is cool BUT have no physical attraction to.

But, if a man has asked you out one on one, then 95% chance he is interested. If you aren't, just tell him straight up. He might take you out as a friend anyway.

Things like continue to make me want to believe karma exists.

If you're a ****ty person and does **** like that, hopefully one day it bites you in the ass :). This goes for all aspects of life.

Isn't this like a man sleeping with a woman he has no serious intentions with? This also happens all the time.

I have a friend who sometimes goes out on dates with guys she's lukewarm about, and she'll laugh and say, "At least it's a free dinner." Her attitude on this bugs me, but it's one of her few weak points, so I let it slide. And right now, she's dating a guy who sometimes acts kinda lukewarm toward her - so it all comes back around.

I've never once agreed to go out with someone I had no interest in. That doesn't even compute for me. I really would rather sit home and do nothing than do that.

First sentence. If i was a guy like that, then I probably wouldn't be complaining about it.

Last sentence. Good for you. If you have no interest, just tell the guy straight up. If it were me, I'd consider asking you out as a friend anyway.

After all, I think this chick is cool. That's why I asked her out. But I FULLY expect the other shoe to drop.
