Avoidence is driving me insane.

My girlfriend and I got back together just before Christmas and spent a good amount of time together. Except over Christmas; she spent with her family. She had avoided me a little over that time. She attributed that to PMS when I asked her about it. We got back on track right after that and thing were going good..then about the 18th of January she had to work over the weekend and she had classes the following week. I knew she would be busy so I didn't push and try to spend any time with her. I figured if she wants to hang out, she would call and we could make plans. That never happened. We would text the usual ( hey hows your week) but that's it. No plans no engaging convo. So I called her the following Wednesday and didn't leave a voice mail (which I don't normally anyway) She never called back. So the weekend approaches and still nothing. Occasionally a comment or 2 on Face.book or a like or something, but nothing significant. I guess you could say I was leaving her alone and giving space. I have yet to question her and am reluctant to do so for fear of making something out of nothing. But is it nothing? This avoidence thing happens every month and I am tired of making excuses for it to myself (oh its probably PMS or maybe she is just busy) There comes a point where enough is enough. I havent provoked anything and havent pushed my way in or annoyed her. Ive done all I know how to do being a male and trying to be an understanding boyfriend and sensetive to things. Which btw is a huge step for me or any guy. Unfortunately I have run out of ideas and have no idea what to do. Do I confront her about it or continue to leave it alone. In the past when I have brought this issue up it typically blows up in my face and she gets pissed. UGHHHHH GRRRRRRR!!! I don't want to have to break this relationship off but C'mon!!! Its just frustrating.

We've been friends for 5 years and started dating in May of last year. Yes we have broken up before for the same thing my rant was about. Only this time I haven't reacted to it.....yet. I did just send her a light hearted text asking if everything is good with her and that she seemed distant lately and she responded back with "doing well...just have a lot going on" I left it at that. I was tempted to ask what she had going on that was making her so distant but thought better of it and thought it would be best to let that go.
