My boyfriend (well now ex) left me 3 weeks ago as he said he didn't love me anymore and he couldn't go back because we had too many fights recently-been together for 2 years.

I left for 2 weeks sofa surfing at friends and now I'm back home waiting for him to find a new flat and move out. His clothes and all things are still here and I can't stand the thought of receiving that text of him saying "I found a new flat, moving out".

He send me a love song about break-ups saying "That's just us" and I wrote to him a long message of why I thought that is not making me heal and although I love him and I'm sad I made him feel this way, it's better not to talk.

I'm torturing myself, blaming me for the failure to keep him-he is wonderful but couldn't cope with our problems-which were more mine than his...

I don't know what to do to feel better and forget him, I always have this little hope he might come back, but then remember what he said to me and it hurts.

What would you do? Go on NC with him and just wait and see?

I'd sort out his stuff asap...how can you move forward knowing that is looming over you?

I find it really hard to even start doing it...I do find it very selfish of him not being able to sort out a flat so far...but it's also so sad...

I'd pack his stuff, put it out of sight, and when he calls, point to his boxes and be done with it all.

Break ups suck, especially when you live together. Good luck to you.

Get a good friend to come and help you pack everything away carefully.

Then as suggested, leave it piled somewhere, and tell him it's all packed ready to go. Could he please come and shift his stuff on 'such-and-such' a date/time?

Make sure this good friend is with you then, too....

Thanks lovely people. Already started packing, although can't touch his clothes got quite a few things aside...I hope he'll move them out really soon, for the moment I've got no update of his flat hunting. It's really breaking my heart to see it all around, it's going to hurt more when he let's me know of the date but it's going to definitely feel better.

Love to all of you x
