I'm 25 in a few weeks.. Everything is fked!

 

 

 

Spent virtually seven years in social isolation, no friends to speak of really and don't know how to make other 'real' friends.. sure, I have no problem chatting to people, but when it comes to real friends.. How do I make those?

 

 

 

I'm not working at the moment, I have no education..

 

 

 

I not-so-recently fell out with a girl who has been important to me since I was fifteen (having a REAL hard time coming to terms with that) so badly that I can't ever say "Hi" to her again - long story, but it's farked beyond any kind of repair, and chances are I never find another I vibe with like her, kicked myself a bunch of times while I was down, threw away everything of a friendship with her. Fked the lot - It's just shot. My whole life, shot!

 

 

 

Feel like I've wasted the best years of my life (18-24), thrown away important friendships, bent out of shape, broke, with a bad history of causing problems.. Fked!

 

 

 

How do I get this sht back on track? I want to be happy! I want a life!! I don't want to end up that sad, lonely old man that hasn't done anything! What can I do?!

Is that it? You can't fix everything at the same time in no time. So break it down into reasonable pieces. Start with education. You can get it at 24 too. Identify a field that you're interested in and research your education options. Education usually entails meeting new people, social life should improve along with that. Apparently you are able to make friends, so you should be fine there too. Education, social life, networking! Google networking or read articles online about it. Even on LS there's advice on that. You should be able to land a job and get your life intellectually and economically and socially up and running again.

 

 

The girlfriend problem will solve itself when you least expect it. I find it hard to believe that explicit girlfriend hunting is any more rewarding than just chilling (on the GF question) and focusing on the other aspects of life!
