We met on an online dating site and have spoken on the phone a few times for ages and had one date where we had coffee and ice cream. He asked me on a date for friday night but I couldnt accept because my best friend is in town and we are busy for that night. I like this guy so I told him we could definitely meet up another time though and told him to message me whenever and we could sort something out. He sent me a text this morning which simply said "Hey Hope you have fun today, you were so close to getting a drunk text message last night haha I go back to work on sunday but looking forward to seeing you again when i get back. Get loads of pics today! why would he say i was so close to getting a drunk text message? what would he have said??

Especially if he's like any of the ones I know, LOL. Ask him, and see Look up drunk text online. Pretty interesting.

He said it because he was about to send you a drunk text last night but then was either talked out of it or thought better of it. It probably would have been something like "I can't wait to meet you, wish I could right this second!!!" or something. No biggie. Are you bothered by it? 1
