So he broke up with me with on Facebook Chat in another country.

I noticed that he had been rude and blunt with me for a couple of days on Facebook conversing over chat.

Our relationship was never one that was straight forward and gradually became a casual relationship.

When he did the e-mail I left it there was nothing more to say he didn't want a relationship casual or not with me, so I felt the best thing was not to respond.

Then a couple of hours later he messaged me again saying "So I'm going to assume that you are upset because you haven't taken it well like I had hoped"

I still have yet to respond to his messages - hes on my facebook but only because I stupidly still care and want to know how he is and a little part of me wants to talk to him (sadly his rudeness towards has put me off from doing so).

However, I'm sad because a part of me wants to e-mail him online but I still can't decide whether to tell him how I feel or to leave it.

Hes in another country and will be back in UK in a month or so but I doubt I will ever see him again.

If someone breaks up with you via facebook message would you e-mail them back?

Sorry that is rough. I vote to block him now and save your self respect. Silence is the best revenge for the crappy way he is going about this. You will keep you dignity and he will be left wondering WTF happened.

Yeah thats what I feel like I'm going to be happier doing. I've deleted the message and am gradually hoping to delete him from my facebook.

I am happy to say that I don't check his facebook half as much as I did do (I was rather obsessed).

I still can't understand why he expected a response I've gone over and over it till the cows come home.

No don't reply. Break up via fb message is callous. Not worth the reply.

You could write the most eloquent, tearjerking, angry, amazing reply in the world... Silence will still say more!
