xoxo67 Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 My ex texted me but it was like a response to someone else's text. We havnt talked in months so i dont know how that was on accident. We didnt really end well so I was surprised hed still have my number! Do guys do this?
clia Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 It was obviously an accident if it sounded like a response to someone else. He probably never deleted your number and your name was right next to the person he was responding to or something along those lines. Don't make a bigger deal out of it than it is.
sabre80 Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 You know what I always find the whole ooops meant that text for someone else very suspect. Unless my text happens to go through just as they were about to put thumb to screen. I have never accidentally texted someone else. Of course I also have no duplicate first names in my address book.
Fondue Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 You know what I always find the whole ooops meant that text for someone else very suspect. Unless my text happens to go through just as they were about to put thumb to screen. I have never accidentally texted someone else. Of course I also have no duplicate first names in my address book. I accidentally text people once in a while. If I am having multiple conversations via text throughout the day, I sometimes miss-touch/click the person I mean to reply to, and reply to someone else with that message instead. I usually don't just text "one" person, it is usually I text no one at all, or have multiple convos at the same time. It leads to an occasional mistake. As far as the OP is concerned, if it was a legitimate mistake, then let it go. If he happens to text you afterward and say, "oooh, btw, how are you?" Then it was on purpose. Additionally, any time I decide to text an ex, or a girl I used to have a fling with, it is for one purpose and one purpose only, to see if she wants to have a shag session. This is true with many other men as well.
Lani Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Did you reply? Don't read into it too much. I still have numbers in my phone from 1999, because, well, I just don't delete them.
miss_jaclynrae Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 My ex husband messaged me asking "are you planning on going to [new girlfriends name] birthday party this weekend?" I ignored it. Obviously NOT for me.
KungFuJoe Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Oldest trick in the book. I used to do this often with exes. I would "accidentally" send them a text that went something like... "Wow that was some absolutely mind blowing amazing sex we had last night. I can't believe I was able to go NINE times in one night. I guess I was just stoked from getting that 50K a year raise and promotion" Then I would follow up with... "OMG I can't believe I accidentally sent that to you! I'm so sorry!. So how are things?" 4
