livelife Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 3 weeks NC exactly. I went NC the day he went facebook official with a girl that lives in a different state that he met online. I told him to never talk to me again that he really really hurt me. Not a peep from him since. Until today, at my university I saw him walking in the parking deck and I was driving, I had to pass him and we kinda waved, just an acknoledgement and I drove on. It didn't phase me. That was at 9 am this morning. Well, at 6 pm i'm still on campus hanging with friends and he texted me and goes " Still on campus? Geeze long day lol" Like why would he even text me? Not replying. But why would he even text me. He has a girlfriend.
iouaname Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 To feel like he matters. He wants to feel important enough to get a text back from you
NoMoreJerks Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 He may have perceived the wave as a friendly gesture and thought you are ready to be friends? Or, using this as an opportunity to reconnect, so that he can keep you on the back burner as a fallback girl.
Author livelife Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 Well, I didn't reply. I wanted to. I threw me off. I wanted to say something to him. But I didn't I never responded. Idk what he thought about the wave. It sure wasn't a "friendly" wave. The last time we talked I told him we could never be friends and to not speak to me. The wave was one of those waves, and I was driving, so my hand was on the steering wheel, and I just lifted my fingers up and put them down, and drove past him. That was my wave to him.
FailedFirstLove Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Must be so hard. But at least u won't have to see him with that girl since their long distance. yeah ur right about can't be friends. Would be impossible
Author livelife Posted January 24, 2013 Author Posted January 24, 2013 For those who aren't aware of snapchat, it's an application where you can send people pictures for a max of 10 seconds and never see it again. He HATES my roommate, yet he sends her one today of him looking bored and it just said "i'm bored." She is dating his close friend, but really? Like why. Thats all I can ask myself.
arrowfoot Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 I'm sorry, a girl he met online...in another state...only been three weeks...? What a slimeball. Yeah, just trust your intuitions. I think you're doing just fine. We both know he texted you because he perhaps was having a moment of insecurity--most likely because you're moving on--and trying to gauge any feelings you may still hold for him. That and/or this new girl is lame and he's having regrets. I'm going through similar mind games with my ex and I find it to be akin to having lemon juice rubbed on a paper cut. He wants to be alone yet keeps wanting to torture me with dangling in from of me what I can't. Don't let him get to you, stay strong. <3
Author livelife Posted January 24, 2013 Author Posted January 24, 2013 Right? Total slime ball. I've been told he hangs out with a lot of girls all the time, and he has this girlfriend. Idk she just shouldn't really trust him. I've told him CLEARLY that we can not be friends, so he knows that. In a way, its kinda creepy. Creepy that he would text me about my car still being there. I am moving on. Pretty quickly. I was just recently reconnecting with an ex from Highschool, but he wasn't over his ex so we didn't work out. But I drove 4 hours to see him. My recent ex isn't friends with me on facebook, but he isn't blocked, so he can see some of the stuff I allow Public to see. I surly allowed public to see a picture of me and my ex from highschool!!He doesn't need to know the details such as me and that guy aren't talking anymore.
Author livelife Posted January 25, 2013 Author Posted January 25, 2013 I saw him in our university dining hall today. Ugh. Wonderful. He was with a friend of his, whom I used to be friends with as well, but we quit talking when me and my ex broke up. (Friend is a guy) I walk in, and somehow immediately make eye contact with the friend. No doubt he told my ex. No doubt. Cause I went and got a table away from them, and my ex gets up to put his plate away and is looking around for me. He was looking around and turned around to look before he went to put his dishes up. Then they went and sat back down. Weird, I can't let it get to me though. We did make eye contact for a millisecond and I looked away and talking to someone on the phone.
