Author candy 87 Posted January 24, 2013 Author Posted January 24, 2013 80%? WHere are you getting those stats from? 80% of the posts here have stated that they think he WAS joking, and that you are viewing it all wrong. Youre not re-assuring him anything, youre LYING to him. Youre not telling him that the REAL reason you are avoiding talking to him, is because youre afraid to tell him he talks too long for your tastes You wont tell him "Ok enough, Im hanging up now..HEY! Thats it for the night, dont be so needy." The more honest youre willing to be about what you want, the less misunderstandings you will have with potential dates. Ill chalk that up to immaturity. some here.... and some off this forum...like my friends etc... or that he was joking but there was a slight annoyance that he is masking behind a lame joke!!! if you think im immature then thats fine...maybe i am but if what you're saying is so accurate why did i call him up today? no i dont think he is needy its the same with other friends too..if i know they talk for hours..then i will find a time when i can speak to them for hours on end... and i dont mind that but sometimes im otherwise occupied is that so hard to get?

soccerrprp Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Are you american by any chance? This is the exact sense of humour that Americans don't get but British people do. It was a harmless joke for crying out loud, lighten up. Hmmm. British humor, huh? American here and still don't find how it could be funny wishing someone harm. I have a great sense of humor and "that" was not funny....peculiar at best. The context and abrupt nature of it seemed odd to me. So what he put "lol" at the end?!

El Brujo Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 he texted saying " i hope you slip lol"..but he put the lol in it... so is that like a guys sense of humour??? is it supposed to be funny? i certainly wasnt laughing but then i don't know what way i should take that comment Why do you find that so disturbing? You women don't think something is funny unless we men get injured in the process.
Eddie Edirol Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 some here.... and some off this forum...like my friends etc... or that he was joking but there was a slight annoyance that he is masking behind a lame joke!!! if you think im immature then thats fine...maybe i am but if what you're saying is so accurate why did i call him up today? no i dont think he is needy its the same with other friends too..if i know they talk for hours..then i will find a time when i can speak to them for hours on end... and i dont mind that but sometimes im otherwise occupied is that so hard to get? Well if youre actually calling him sometimes, then thats a different story. But if you are blowing him off for 2-3 days in a row, after a few weeks, I still stand by that you arent that interested in him. YOu should be pretty stoked to hear from him really. If you actually make time for them, then theres nothing else to talk about. If he likes you, he wont really think that you should slip, you just have to do better at reading jokes.

It's not laugh out loud funny, but it's not meant to be, it's teasing, pinch of salt stuff that you say to be cheeky. In this case it was almost flirty. Americans tent to take stuff like this to heart.
