quietGuy13 Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 IN Many countries people live with their parents and it's normal. including japan, mexico, etc. I dont understand why only in USA do women think that men living with their parents are stupid losers? Anyways, that's what i've noticed. But anyways, just because i live with my parents American women will never like me even if i'm a person with a good heart? PS i'm in my 30s 2
Lani Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 It's an independence thing.. If you are still living with your parents, it makes it seem a little like you can't stand on your own two feet. At the end of the day, women want men to look after them (whether they admit this or not) and if you can't stand on your own now, how will you when we need you to?

But what if i can't stand on my own two feet.? Is that necesarily bad? If i were in a relationship, it's two people. we both help eachother. I dont have to be the only one who does everything. we can do things together and help eachother.

First off, there's lots of reasons women will reject you that are way more petty than living with your parents. At least that is something you can control. Secondly, if you think that being a good, decent person has anything to do with attracting women, you have a LONG way to go.
Author quietGuy13 Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 Well. First off, there's lots of reasons women will reject you that are way more petty than living with your parents. That's not what women like? What else do they want?

If i were in a relationship, it's two people. we both help eachother. I dont have to be the only one who does everything. we can do things together and help eachother. Although I believe in relationships being a unit, you still need to be able to standup without them. Would you really want to be with someone who needed you in order to take on the world? Thats a lot of pressure to put on someone else. This is my personal opinion though, I'm sure there are women who will be ok with this. I just need my independence, and need a man to have the same. And hopefully, when we come to having children, he can look after me. Not me having to look after him, as well as our children. If you can't stand on your own two feet, I think you need to resolve those issues before you can really be in a relationship.
JuneJulySeptember Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Being a good person,,,,.... That's not what women like? What else do they want? Are you for real? You're screwing with me right? In no particular order: -Looks -Money -Height -Social power or status -Alpha attitude -Social charisma -A popular and socially 'cool' talent -A cool and hip social circle Having a cool convertible couch in your apartment probably ranks higher than being a good person. Which brings us back on topic. Get your own place. 2
Lani Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 It has nothing to do with independence but everything with not creeping out your lover. Privacy is really limited in someone's house that isn't yours. I agree that privacy is a big issue. But I see the independence thing as a long term, 'bigger picture' issue. 1
singlelife Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Even if you have an alpha personality you can't be an alpha male living with mommie. Can you imagine the rock, sylvester stalone, or even young justin beiber living off their parents. Not tasty to the ladies dude!
PurpleMonkeyDishwash Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 It's certainly possible, you just need to find a girl who is understanding of it. Circumstances do matter though. I'm 26 and just moved back to my parents' house last summer. I met my last girlfriend shortly after and through our conversations, explained why I moved back, that I planned to move out again after a while, etc. She completely understood and wasn't phased by it at all. She knew it was something I was working to fix. Privacy can be a big concern though, my room happens to be at the opposite end of the house, separated by several rooms and the garage from the main section. So we easily had all the privacy we needed.
OJ loved Nicole Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 why only in USA do women think that men living with their parents are stupid losers? Stay where you're at - your local women like you Move to the states - no longer living with parents Win win
Lani Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Stay where you're at - your local women like you Move to the states - no longer living with parents Win win I think he's in the states, living with his parents... Hence the problem. 1

Lani Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 lmao. huge problem. be an adult and take care of yourself. Correct. If there are legitimate reasons you're living with your folks, and it's only temporary, then you can get around it. But it sounds to me like you're there for the long haul, which isn't going to appeal to any women worth the effort. She'll think that once you move out with her, she'll take over as your mother... not cool. 1
OJ loved Nicole Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 I think he's in the states, living with his parents... Hence the problem. Well then he's screwed (not literally). Nothing sexy about mom screaming "QG13, you didn't flush the toilet again" while you're trying to split your woman in half. She'll stay with you until she finds the "you" with his own place. Welcome to America. Stay home - can't date anything above a 3-4 (unless he's Brad Pitt's twin) Move to diff country - zero gain in social status Lose lose

I'm tired of catering to lazy people. That's their problem in life.

jlindemann Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 I think the circumstances are what matters here. I left my ex, and he stated that he cannot financially support himself and needed to get back on his feet, so he moved in with his dad. This is a temporary thing, and I'm sure he would find someone that wouldn't mind the situation given the circumstances. I am not a materialistic person, but I do need a stable and independent guy. That doesn't mean he needs to be rich or live in a mansion. But even if he had his own small apartment, it would be better than living with your parents. Women see the big picture. Is he a "good catch". Generally speaking, a guy in his 30's doesn't scream "good catch". It generally shows that you don't financially make enough money to even take care of yourself. Not that I want to be taken care of, but I also don't want to financially take care of my mate either. 2

I just couldn't look at her like an independent woman. Thus it would be a turn off.
