Keenly Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Two girls I work with, girl A and girl B. Few weeks ago I was trying to convey to girl A I was interested , and trying.to see if she was. She was cold, distant, and just generally giving off a not.interested vibe. Fair enough, can't win them all. Girl B starts working here, and she is getting all of my attention, girl A sees this, and is now acting interested. She is jealous of the attention, even though I know she is not into me. This is normal isn't it....
TouchedByViolet Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Normal has nothing to do with it. Girl A is clearly immature and a bit of an attention whore. If I reject a woman, I would not get jealous if she started flirting with another man.
HitMeNow Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Ditto to above post. A is not interested in you though. As soon as you give A back the attention, she will have gotten her EGO rub off, and put the distance back up.
KathyM Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 People tend to be interested in those that are desired by others. When another girl shows interest in you, it does often spike the interest level by others. It's not just a theory. I've seen it happen in real life. Same thing with products that are desired by others, or activities that are desired by others. If someone else is enjoying it, others will want to see what all the buzz is about.
Janesays Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 How old are these girls? Seem a tad youthful to me...

I see this most often in women and children. Guess that's why they are first on the lifeboats.

Author Keenly Posted January 21, 2013 Author Posted January 21, 2013 There is also a possibility that Girl A is into you. Could be hard to get. Trust me, this is not the case. If she was, she would not hesitate to tell me.
truth_seeker Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Trust me, this is not the case. If she was, she would not hesitate to tell me. Okay. I only mentioned it because I've had girls purposely act cold and distant, only to find out they wanted me to chase them, or liked me but were shy in approaching me.
Author Keenly Posted January 21, 2013 Author Posted January 21, 2013 Okay. I only mentioned it because I've had girls purposely act cold and distant, only to find out they wanted me to chase them, or liked me but were shy in approaching me. Girl A is bold, ballsy, extremely confrontational in a playful way. So if she was interested is know. On Friday I walked away from her when she was mid sentence because girl B walked into the room and I wanted to talk to her instead. I think that's why she is acting like this, and its not interest, its jealousy.
StanMusial Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Hmmm, those situations can go bad in a hurry. There were two girls in this group I used to hang with. Girl A had been chatting with this guy we knew through some other people. It was late at the bar and everyone was drunk or buzzed. So Girl B steps in out of jealousy of Girl A and starts making out with that guy. They eventually leave together. A week or two later the little story going around the grapevine was that he raped her that night. Nothing came of it so far as I know. The bottom line was she didn't like the guy but she went home with him to spite her supposed friend. Then the drama started.
El Brujo Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 People tend to be interested in those that are desired by others. I give the lie to that line. Leave it to me to want something different than what everyone else is having... because I know what I like.
