skylark100 Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I have heard this from a girl I'm dating. That she is 'fed up with boys' and wants a 'real man'. So far so good for me. My interpretation is that it's just a nice way of saying as soon as I find something I don't like about you, you're going to get reclassified into the boy category....kind of like the ladder theory.... Boyfriend vs friend. Anatomically speaking I can guarantee her I'm a man lol. But in an seriousness this term bugs me because everyone is different, it seems so general. Or is it? Ladies, your thoughts on this would be much appreciated.
miss_jaclynrae Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Its true, when we say "real man" we are merely just referring to the perfect guy for us. Which every man we are interested in IS, until he messes up. 1

samsungxoxo Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 (edited) What type of men do YOU meet? It's not that. This is what I'm seeing on several other forums esp thebodybuilding . com site (a male dominated site) and most of them seem to talk like that. Right now I'm currently talking with a male collegue at my work. He seems to be into studying (just like me) and wants to be promoted too. Well I'll see how this one goes. Though, for now I'm not really looking for a bf. I just want to go with the flow and if it works out, it will. Previously I was hanging out with another male collegue but he soon stopped calling me and wouldn't show up on MSN messenger no more. Edited January 21, 2013 by a LoveShack.org Moderator
Sarabi Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 A real man? Someone whose sex chromosomes read X Y 2
Keenly Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 You can tell a real man by the way he uses his walk. If he's a woman's man, he's got no time to talk. But that's alright, that's okay, you can look the other way. 1
todreaminblue Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 A real man doesn't feel the need to impress a woman he just does by being himself I met one of them recently.....he doesnt like me..... so i am recallibrating my skewed perception

Ladies, your thoughts on this would be much appreciated. To me a real man is described by how he treats me. Love, respect, loyalty. that my interests and well being are important and that i am important to him. It is not about the money or even minor mistakes (because believe it or not, us girls are not perfect either). Maturity is also a good start as well. 1
