KungFuJoe Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 My wife just witnessed a possible date rate attempt at a very nice hotel here in Manhattan (Omni Berkshire on Madison and 52nd) Just shows this can happen even in the nicest of places. Although I don't know if this a common thing out here. Some dude apparently spiked a woman's drink...and after making out with her all over the bar downstairs at the hotel (with people gawking and staring) a couple other women came to her rescue and pulled her away from the guy. He bailed the scene. Turns out the woman had gotten in a fight with her fiancé (also staying at the hotel) and was at the bar drinking by herself and he targeted her. My wife was also drinking by herself there (I was still at the office...am here for work) and she saw the whole thing unfold. The woman's fiancé eventually came down later...she had passed out by then and he had to carry her up to the room. Minutes later an ambulance shows up, paramedics go up and come back down with the same woman in a gurney. Crazy. What creeps me out even more is that my wife was there as well...but she wasn't getting drunk like the other woman was. Scary scary stuff. When going out on a date or whatever, never ever lose sight of your drink. And don't get drunk by yourself anywhere. ****ing sickos out there.
Author KungFuJoe Posted January 19, 2013 Author Posted January 19, 2013 She could have just got alcohol poisoning or got so drunk she passed out and was taken just in case while the drugging was merely wild speculation. Friends will protect "the honor" of a known douchebag with nonsense theories. Don't spread rumors unless you got to see the tox screen. Yeah...thought about that as well. I wasn't there to see it with my own eyes, but my wife knows what drunk looks like. She said this woman looked liked she was on something. The bartender was questioned and he said she was fine just moments before and only had a couple glasses of wine. The guy just walked in, saw her, bought her another drink and next thing you know, they're sucking face. She said it looked so weird with her trying to get away from the guy but not being able to walk and him catching up, holding her, then making out some more. This was happening for quite sometime around the bar. No one knew the guy. No one knew the woman (only the bartender knew she was engaged because she was telling him about their fight). When the two women pulled her away from the guy, he left the hotel...he didn't go upstairs. It's possible she has a very bad reaction to alcohol, but then why come down and drink by yourself when you're out of town if you know what alcohol does to you? Sounds really fishy to me. Either way, the point of the topic remains important.
sweetkiwi Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 My friend was raped last night getting gas. The disgusting vile creature hit her in the head from behind. No place is safe.
Radu Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I hope they get the guy [in your case sweetkiwi too] and slam him in jail with a guy named Bubba. Always watch your drink ladies, and guys ... don't do this, and watch the drinks of lady friends. 1

CptSaveAho Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 wife was bored.... created drama.... worst case scenario... was drinking at a bar by herself... have fun with that

Are you serious??? This world is a scary scary place. Rapists should be castrated. Wide awake and with no anesthesia. 1

Disenchantedly Yours Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 There use to be a show on called "What Would You Do". I am not sure if it's still on but it would create fake situations to observe human behavior. One of the scenes was a man and woman at a bar. They were actors. The women was scripted to get up and go to the bathroom after a little while and the man was scripted to pretend to slip something in her drink. Some people (I think most) saw what happened and whispered to their companion but never said anything to the woman. However, there was one older guy there with his wife that saw what happened and when she came back he told her what the other guy did. Only one guy did it! I was kind of shocked.

I saw that same show! I was even thinking about it when my wife was telling me the story because it seemed too "obvious" to be real. It seemed almost staged. But then when the ambulance took her away I figured that might be pushing it. 1
Keenly Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 My ex claimed she was slipped something then raped while we were together. Messed me up inside especially how she kept wanting to talk about it and tell me details ... Made me so angry every time she would bring it up. Turns out she went to a campsite with 5 guys she had never met and downed an entire bottle of jack. She wasn't raped, she was just a whore. 1
Disenchantedly Yours Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I had an experience one time where I thought an ex boyfriend could have done this to me. But I was never sure however, I always wondered. Only because of the reaction I had that night. I did drink more then I normally did that night but my reaction seemed a bit more then just some drunkness. However, I was never sure and I am 99.9% sure I wasn't raped. But I always wondered if he slipped something in my drink to loosen me up. He got more then he bargined for because I ended up throwing up all over the cab. Probably killed the mood for him. If I had been more assertive back then, I would have broken up with him right away. Unfortunetly, I pushed the incident out of my mind and told myself I was being silly. However, it should have been a signal to me that I obviously simply didn't trust him. Whether he slipped something in my drink or not, I should have realized then and there that I didn't find him trust worthy. Experience and hindsight is 20/20.

Yup... my point exactly That chick new what she was doing... went to the bar by herself because she was pissed off at her fiance... got wasted and was making out with a random guy Only idiots fall for that line... Look at the actions... chick in a bar by herself, she wants to and is asking for some random guy to come have fun with her... i don't by the whole she was pilled blah blah blah spiel for one second. Especially from a married woman that hangs out in bars by herself. For me, this isnt the type of woman I want to be married to. Look at this thread alone... OP started drama by posting this story... nice deflection though of the hollocaust 1

What do we live in the 1800 where women aren't allowed to patronize bars without their husband's or boyfriend's supervision? I don't really know if you really know enough about the situation to say she got wasted. She could have had one drink and been slipped something. It's not an uncommon situation.
ThaWholigan Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I know a girl this happened to so this is a bit touchy for me - and no, she wasn't "asking for it" before anyone asks. I know there are girls who lie about being raped and such incidents, but I'm still kinda surprised by the nonchalant dismissal of certain incidents the way they are.

There is nothing wrong with a women staying in a hotel to go to the bar there alone. Anyone who think's it's wrong is retarded. Unless you know the story, you have no idea what happened. Just because someone bought her a drink means nothing. Judging by your posts, I don't think you have any worries about getting married anytime soon......
Author KungFuJoe Posted January 19, 2013 Author Posted January 19, 2013 judging by your posts, I don't think you have any worries about getting married anytime soon...... Married? I'd be surprised if him or any of the other "she was asking for it" proponents have ever even so much as spent any time alone with a woman that didn't involve being in the same elevator. 2

Disenchantedly Yours Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 That's your assumption. None of us can read this random woman's mind so we really can't say whether it is true in this case, but I am here to assure you that it most definitely is not universally true. EXACTLY 100 times over. Great rationale statement Gravity Defiant.
