NotCamelot Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Reading some things here over the last few days ....... comments regarding things the WS said/says. Also, noting how some blamed the BS for the A.....and how some admit the fault. I wonder, does the WS ride an emotional rollercoaster just as the BS does? I don't think they do, at least not in my experience. My W, for all but 2 days since d-day, has been one emotion regarding her A - at least exposed to me. There were one day where she exploded in anger and told me it was my fault....then apologized the next day and said she was wrong.....it WAS her fault. But this was only 1 day out of 8 months since D-Day. (I admit there was some satisfaction in seeing her anger....it told me that she does care.) IF there were/are other feelings, I have not seen them. While I, the BS, have had all the ups and downs and over and over again. So, what have you seen?
beenburned Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 My H admitted he felt no guilt when he was cheating on me. The excitement of forbidden sex with young single women overshadowed all of his reasoning at that time. However, after our d-day and separation, he slowly started to realize all of the consequences of his actions. He also had the chance to realize just how different his life would be without me and the kids there.He also personally experienced all of his fellow co-workers divorces first hand.(they were cheaters also) After we eventually got back together, I think he did experience a multitude of different emotions, mainly based on his reactions to all of my expressions of many tears/emotions/actions/words concerning his adultery and our future/marriage. But based on how few marriages(35%), that are touched by adultery, that make it in the long run(5 yrs after d-day), there has got to be a lot of unremorseful and unrepenting WS's!
