Hello

I was wondering how unusual this is.

On Wednesday I received a phone call from the HR department of future employer that I interviewed successfully. She told me when would I start training etc, and also that she will send me an email to confirm with the documents.

I haven't received any emails yet. :o Should I be worried that I do not have the job after all or is this a usual procedure?

I have decided not to share the news with my family until I have a written confirmation. :bunny:

Ring the HR department again.

It's possible they have typed your email wrong.

if you miss the dates, they're not going to be happy with you....

Get on to it right away!!

I think you should wait for a week; if she hasn't send you an email within that time frame, then call/email her again.

It is surprising to know that there are many things and documents needed to be done for the employer to hire someone.

For example, just recently, my boss wanted me to go do a project for another company as a part time. We started to do all the contract/document since about a month ago. We know the exact stipend offered and the project detailed. Now we are still waiting for the official offer letter so I can start working.

Be patient :)

Yes and No - call them, about three thirty, four pm, your time. (Remember a lot of HR knock off early on a Friday....) and simply say that you haven't received the mail she had said she was going to send you - could you just make sure they have your email addy ok?

Of course, if the HR department has ALREADY communicated with you by email, it's unlikely they have it wrong... in which case, yeah, I'd leave it until tuesday morning....
