Armymanis Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I've been seeing her for six months and everything's going great. Only problem is I don't know what to get her for v-day. she already has a new computer, TV and an iPod. I would really like to blow her mind this year and let her know I'm hers and no one else's. she already knows I'm hers but I'd like to show it. I want to get her a car but can't afford it. My budget is 1000 dollars. Whenever she asks me to do something I automatically do it for her to re enforce that I can do what she asks me to do. She calls me everyday and we hangout 24/7 and text everyday. Anyone have any suggestions? She already has new jewerly and clothes.
NateC Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Find a store with the biggest teddy bear. She doesn't have one of those and it'll definitely put a smile on her face. Sounds like a common gift but it's common because it works! 1
Author Armymanis Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 I already gave her teddy bears.
veggirl Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 omfg do not spend $1k on a girl you've been dating for 6 months. Are you mental?!?! Why don't you think of something creative and romantic and PERSONAL rather than trying to impress her with something expensive? Send me 1/2 of your budget and then I will give you the bestest idea ever that you can get her for the other $500 6

Also, EVERYONE is an individual. Why don't you think about her, as a person, what she likes, what her quuirks are, and get her a gift that shows how well you know her and love her? All that generic money gifts do is show you're boring. 2
Author Armymanis Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 I do something special for her every week and am going to run out of ideas fast.
mammasita Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I do something special for her every week and am going to run out of ideas fast. Are you going to keep this up for the duration of your relationship? 2 years, 5 years....10 years? You're only spoiling her. Matter of fact, its a sweet thought, but ugh - I'd be annoyed. 6 months together for Valentines day - she should be getting flowers, a card and maybe a stuffed animal or chocolates.....and oh a romantic dinner.
chex Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 plan a fun date, time together is probably a more valuable gift than anything your money can buy
ImperfectionisBeauty Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Ok I'm sorry but you sound like a total push over... Anyways get her something cheap its been 6 months not 6 years
Author Armymanis Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 I suggest this: i've already given her my dick lol
sid3 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 i've already given her my dick lol According to several threads I've seen , if you really want to blow her mind there's only one choice, a tossed salad. 1
Eclypse Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 How about some flowers? It always makes my gf happy. Anyway you don't need to break the bank to show her you love her. We decided to forgo Christmas presents last year because we are low on income and just had a blast on a nice dinner date.

CptObvious Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 borrow another $40k and get her a new car 1
Els Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Is my troll-dar off these days or do there seem to be more of them around?
CptObvious Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Is my troll-dar off these days or do there seem to be more of them around? Nah it's just your trolldar
Phoe Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I've never had a guy on Valentines Day so I'm a total NEWB to proper v-day etiquette, but I personally would be THRILLED with some pretty flowers and dinner. Homecooked or restaurant, doesn't matter. But if she's realllly gotten used to you spending money on her, that may be a bad thing. She's gonna expect too much.
RichieBoy Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Personally I would go with a Red rose sprayed with enough of your aftershave (presuming you know she likes it) to last a while, precious gift indeed especially if it lasts a while or get her a selection of white roses and one red one placed in the middle with a small message signifying you picking her out of the rest . Been worrying about this myself so I've been thinking of things up the last few weeks.
NateC Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Simple and thoughtful beats out expensive. A card with a special treat or homemade dinner and a romantic night together would work best. Valentine's Day like most holidays have been heavily commercialized. Really, you shouldn't have to go all-out on a gift because you should be showing your love every day anyway. Works both ways as well.
