AaronMartin Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 (edited) I'd like to share a book I've read recently with people here on the forum - "Sex at Dawn: How We Mate, Why We Stray, and What It Means for Modern Relationships" I don't think I can give you a really good description of what is about but in a nuts shell it's a radically different take on marriage and monogamy vs. polygamy. Has anybody read the book, would you like to share some thoughts about it? PS. I'm sorry if I've picked up a wrong thread for this topic but I just don't know which one would the most appropriate one. He (well the male half) is obviously passionate about the topic and is a very entertaining speaker. The book is OK, if a bit short on real science and long on speculation. It says a lot of things like "If we are right about this, then that must have occurred..."
neveragain34 Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Does it condone affairs? I'm still single at age 34 and used to hope I'd be married by now, but I'm starting to rethink that whole concept of being with one person for the rest of your life, especially after being the OW for a few months and constantly being hit on by MM. It's not scientifically possible for most men to be with one woman, but I also don't think I'd be comfortable letting my husband have a "hall pass" every now and then if I ever did get married. Such a complex topic.
