I find it very odd the way these WS contact us. I mean WTF is with the nature of their communications? If they miss us, why say weird things? Why not just say so? I suppose the explanation of a man showing how awesome he is works for your case Promises, but still. Such an odd thing to break NC for. Is it to keep us on the hook or what?

It has little to do with us. At least that's the way I feel.

It's maily for two reasons. To make themselves feel better and to keep an emotional foot in the exAP life. What if that person moves on? What are they left with? It was so much fun when somebody adored them. The spose at home doesn't seem as adoring and interested in all their ****.

Promises;

It sounds like he's "Peacocking". That's what my girlfriends and I call it at least. :D

But what you write that he does and is doing is the WEIRDEST thing I have read in a while!! I mean, Who does that sh$t?!?!

Hopefully SOON all his feathers will fall out and shrivel up (ie; hair and nether-region) and all he can do is croon a sad little cry.

Can you hear it? "wwwwhhhhyyyyyy mmeeeeee, poooooooorrrr mmeeeeee".

I am SO sorry this guy is a douche. :(

I'm not sure what your case is, promises.

1) You left him > Then he's definitely letting you know what you are missing out. Peacocking, as CIH said. Or as soni sagra said.

2) He left you. > He's still keeping an emotional foot in your life... just like cutedragon said. He might even crave for the old times, miss you, and regret his move/decision. But most of all, he might feel guilty. Pictures showing he's fine just means that: he's trying to show he's fine. Doing great. In his twisted mind, he might think you love him so much that you are happy for him knowing he's fine. Or make you understand it was the right thing to do. Or even, that it will help you move on with your life.

3) The W found out and he was forced to cut you off somehow. That was not his will. He wants to get back in touch with you, but as he's proud, he doesn't want to look nor sound pathetic. You probably wouldn't be interested in a loser. He's letting you know he's anything but a loser.

4) There's also a fourth option. He's trusting your intuition as to material things which are no surrogate to love and deep feelings.
