HaveFaithxx Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 When I was 25 I went through a terrible breakup with my daughter's father. I was severely heartbroken for 5 years. I even attempted suicide. I was convinced I'd never meet anyone like him again. Dated a few guys and then finally fell in love again when I was 30, only to be dumped because he got scared that I would not be happy living in America with him and that I would take my daughter away from her father. I was absolutely devestated, but at least this time, I knew I could fall in love again. Heartbroken for 2 -3 months. Now I'm 35 and heartbroken again after a year long relationship, and I feel like my world is falling apart. Shouldn't experince tell me that I will someday fall in love again? Or perhaps it's my experience that tells me it will never work out for me anyways....I hate this. I don't want to care about him anymore, and I have to see him everyday at uni. :'(
FailedFirstLove Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 in my opinion you will definitely find love again! It happened for a reason... If you didnt have your first love... Would you have your child now? If you and te father of the child didnt break up... You wouldn't have met the second love. And maybe this second love happened because you will meet someone that's better and you wouldn't have to move to a whole new place for him. Hang in there. Don't give up hope!

That there aren't as many single people out there. I know I'm only 21 and I feel the same! Haha all the good ones are taken. The ones left are either selfish or commitment phobe. Even if there isn't anyone good enough you could concentrate on yourself and your daughter. make sure she doesn't get hurt by evil guys out there who break hearts there must be things you want to do. Like travel or build on career. Even things you think you can't do anymore. Live it through your daughter. I do however feel you will find someone again. But when you least expect it or have given up. He will come riding a white horse! Then you will think. Dammit I was happy single haha
Alsuna Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Most of the (Finnish) guys seem to have huge commitment issues nowadays. So annoying. The guys turning 40 still behave like they are in their 20s. No commitments, no responsibilities... Which is not good for us, who are trying to have a serious relationship in our 30s. But I'm pretty sure, these guys will realize sooner or later, what they have missed, and will look for serious relationships. So, I'm very positive, that you will fall in love again, and this time with a less coward man.

(I was living in Europe though, guys in North America tend to settle and get married much younger). You have all the time in the world! Yes, that's true. I absolutely love my job, and I just came back from a sponateous trip to Indonesia and it helped a lot. But, that's a great tip. I should plan a trip for the week off I get at the end of February.
