davidqvu90 Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 My current relationship is boring and I'm wondering whether or not its a good thing. I've been in a relationship for about 1.5 and it's getting boring. We don't fight, rarely have any issues or drama. I consider this a good thing. However, the relationship is not exciting and I anticipated at the beginning of the relationship. The thing that I didn't anticipate was the how boring it has gotten. In other words, I expected things to cool down but not this much. Initially I rated my gf an 8 but now I rate her a 6. Personality wise, I still rate her an 8 because she is smart, non dramatic and somewhat logical (not too emotional). I am looking for somebody to settle down with but I'm not excited about the girl that I'm currently going out with. When a couple gets married, the groom is usually excited about spending the rest of his life with the bride. I currently don't feel this way. What do you guys think? Is a boring relationship a good or bad?
april38 Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Relationships go through phases, I'm sure you know that. I'm sure you also know that reationships always wind down after that first initial period of infatuation. Leisureguy2020 is right - you do have to make an effort to spice things up. Maybe go on an adventure together, start a new challenge together, pick up a new hobby together, or something. But at the same time, it doesn't really matter what other people think, what matters is - do you want to spend the rest of your life with this person, has your love grown for her, and do you see it continue to grow, or do you feel that your feelings have dwindled away never to return? If you're not content in your relationship, then you shouldn't ignore that. You two should talk about it, and see what you both are feeling, maybe she's bored too....there's only one way to find out.
mammasita Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 It's simple, do something to make it more exciting. If you dont take action, you're bound to find yourself eventually bored in any relationship you get into. 1
