irc333 Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 There's this woman I met when i was out with friends, she came a good distance to be at this party, and I got to talking to her. SHe used to live in a small town I currently live in a while back when she was married. She's moved about an hour away from that town, and won't set foot in that neck of the woods, because she keeps fearing that she'll run into her ex-husband. She did try at once going to an event in that town with friends, but while she was there, that's all she could think of, "Will I see him here?" This was quite a good amount of years after her divorce a decade ago, but shouldn't someone be over that by now to at least go into a city?
sillyanswer Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 This was quite a good amount of years after her divorce a decade ago, but shouldn't someone be over that by now to at least go into a city? Probably but could there be more to it than just needing to 'get over it'? Does she fear for her safety if she sees him (eg, was he violent)? or did he take out a restraining order that stops her from going near where he lives due to her previous craziness? Or does she owe him money? Are they really divorced?
WhatYouWantToHear Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Yes. Somebody in this equation is crazy--her or her ex. Was there horrible physical abuse from him? Does she still have nightmares about the times he put cigarettes out on her back? Did he send her to the emergency room at least once? Did he strangle her dog in front of her just to show how dominant he was? If none of those are true, your chick's the crazy one. 1
sillyanswer Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 fwiw (which isn't much) there are bars and restaurants that an ex-gf introduced me to that I wouldn't take a current date to just in case.
