Hi all,

I'm new to this whole loveshack site, and randomly stumbled upon it. After browsing around i found a lot of negativity about ex's, breakups, and past experiences. I recently got out of a four year relationship and am moving on, happily. What I've come to finally understand, is that having negative feelings for your "once significant other", or past in general, is not the best way to deal with things.

By realizing and accepting what you shared with another human being WAS amazing, beautiful, different, and that no one else you find will be exactly like them, is a beauty of it's own. Everything that has a beginning has an end as well. Sometimes it's easy to get entwined with the illusion that what we have, we possess forever...but that is the furthest from the truth. We don't posses anything, things that we obtain for a little while are temporary; whether it be materialistic items or another person. At the end of the day, just realize that everything that happens, happens for the benefit and evolution of your consciousness. The person you are today is because of your past experiences. Life is too short to dwell on...move forward, uplift yourself and others around you, be a better person and don't deflate another for something that just didn't work out. Forgive, forget and move on! :)

I agree with a lot of what you said but getting over some one is a process (sometimes a long one ) and isn't easy or overnight especially if you were the dumpee like most of us here. Where you the dumper or dumpee? This seems to make a big..well huge.. difference on how easy it is to accept everything you said in a short period of time
