Ok so, if you have not read my previous post about my break up, here is a little summary. My ex and I broke up about two months ago. He asked for a break, we had one, then he just dumped me. Come to find out he cheated and left me for that same girl who is now his new gf.

I have gone to great lengths to delete him out of my life. Numbers, family member numbers, pictures on facebook, boxed up his things, the whole nine yards pretty much. So I am abroad visiting family and in the middle of the night at around 4am my time, I get a text from my ex saying "night night babe :)". He sends this at 11pm his time. This is obviously meant for his new gf. But this is no accident. He has an iphone. He would have either scrolled down to my text box if he did not delete it, or type my name in. Plus his new gf name and mine are not similar what so ever. I not only get it once, but he sends it twice. I got the second one some time after I landed back in the states. I ignored box texts and decided not to say anything.

Any thoughts on his actions?

if it WAS an accident, then ignoring it is the best thing you can do.

if it WASN'T an accident, then ignoring it will serve him right and is the best thing you can do.

most importantly, ignoring it helps you keep control and helps you move on.

why have you not blocked/deleted him from your 'phone?

better still, change your number?

it's easy.

I've done it twice.....

Because you look unaffected :) and that is mind boggling for him. He's going the extra mile and see how'd you react.

I did delete him and when I block him it only does it for 30 days apparently. I was just confused because he blocked me on facebook.

just means he's wanting a reaction from you. i'd interpret the text as him going to sleep and saying "goodnight".

One text could have been a simple mistake. But the same text again? This guy is probably testing the water with you. Don't rise to it, you're better than his text message scraps.

If he misses you he should be a man and say it. He's giving you breadcrumbs, hiding behind 'accidents'.

It never surprises me how callous some dumpers will be. All he deserves is radio silence. What a jerk.

You know how iPhones work. He would of had to scroll down to my text box because we haven't talked for months or typed my name in physically.

He's playing games. Don't give in and don't respond!
