TurtlePower Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 I was tempted to do that this morning. Lately, at my job I feel as if I am either taken for granted or plain just being taken advantage of. I will explain: Over the past three weeks I have 14 hr shifts where the rest of my team has either been on vacation or hasn't worked as much. Why? Because work needed to get done and I had to do it. I have had to cover for my boss while she was out. She informed through email that I was the lead on a project at the last minute and now I am stressed because I don't have all the necessary info. Get extra work because one of my teammates "isnt comfortable" with the task at hand even though I repeatedly have tried to teach him Long story, short, I have a lot on my plate when I feel it isn't necessary b/c other members of my team aren't pulling their weight. My boss has been flighty and lazy as of late which is not normal, so I have to pick her slack. Which brings me back to my oriignal question - should i have called out to show how much I really do? I wanted to do it so bad this morning, but thought it would only make matters worse for me.

Author TurtlePower Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 Call me weak, but I left work immediately after starting this thread and took yesterday off. I really needed the mental break. (Back to work today, but still need a break...)
